Hey all,
Hope your all good...
I havent ever got round to the ironing. Instead, I packed away lots of things I wont wear before moving as I have no boxes left so have started filling suitcases.
We also made some choc chip fairy cakes to use up some baking supplies - I think they are kinda horrible to be honest and the frosting is a bit much, but littley likes them, so Im pleased for him
Im thinking im gonna make some fruit scones and load them with yummy strawberry jam.... nomnomnom
We are having something with prawns and rice for tea as I have lots of both needing to be used up so am off to surf the net for a little bit of inspiration... Do you any of you have a fabulous recipe involving both of these ingredients?

:hello: hi everyone
I used to fly a lot in the past, but I stopped, my house turned into a tip and I just sit here staring at it all.
Im not too sure why to be honest, just like a downward spiral. I am totally exhauseted at the mo ( health issues) and this heat is not good for me at all.
That said I really want to start getting this sorted.
Jo: I would have some sort of prawn stirfry, eg sweet & sour type. Im meant to be doing Chinese green curry tonight but so cant be bothered.
Ill re:read the thread to see what I can remember, but I do have a list as long as my arm! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Lynzpower  It seems ages since we were both moving and flying, I think this is our fifth year in this house after a painful few days before c'mas move.

Dust prawns in cornflour, egg and more cornflour - drop into very hot oil for just long wnough to turn the coating golden brown/crispy if they were cooked pink prawns (30 seconds), bit longer (ie, 2 minutes) if they were raw grey prawns. Use some breadcrumbs instead of the second cornflour if you want katsu prawns instead.
Serve with rice & any veggies you have.
Wonder how my hair's going to turn out? Have just put purple and plum semipermanent highlights in some of the highlights.
Will see how it looks later, and as I splashed out on some distressed jeans that were on sale, a black longsleeved top on sale and some really pale foundation from the goth shop (as even MAC is too orange/dark for me, I'm combining some Garnier BB cream I won a couple of weeks ago with the powder to see if I can get a match), I should look [strike]good[/strike] less horrific than usual with my DMs, full makeup and attitude.
Wish I looked like the girls in the goth shop. They're all about 24 and look gorgeous. But they are lovely - one calls me Mummy Goth, because I'm oldand cool
and has, to Minion's shock, told her that she's lucky to have such a cool Mum!
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Aw thanks for the ideas - I like the 'conrflour' idea and wish Id done that, but I read it too late!
Anyway, I ended up with a paella bottom-of-the-fridge type dish with garlic, veggies, chicken stock and wine. Lots of spices, black pepper and lemon... It was yum! Even the babe gobbled it all up!
Im in need of chocolate now and may even open a beer....

Sorry got distracted As those on FB will have guessed

He's currently growling in his sleep lol a hand full but he has spurred us to complete most tasks. Got a lot still to do & just squishing it in around his sleeping etc. Feeling tired as I stayed up late so he had less time on his own last night. Neighbours said they didn't hear him howling/crying so that's good.
Been & done some shopping, very quick as I took him in the car so he didn't wake DP up. Got him a collar & I've got his tag (Land Rover ones how sad hehe) to get engraved. Going to do some much needed catch up study once he goes back to sleep as he's due awake soon
Hope you're all well xxOne day I might be more organised...........

ive had an ok day. my friends opened a new ceramics place in town today so i took the kids there to paint some xmas decs which was great fun and great value! 2 decs, paint and firing for £5!! this was the place i was offered the job at this week but i had to turn it down coz i cant get childminders for the saturday shifts and if i did the weekdays only its not enough for me to get funding for childcare so ill end up worse off but ohhh it would be so much fun working there!
made shredded chilli chicken and egg fried rice for tea. watrching BB eviction just now. got bored of the daily shows so now i just watch the evictions.
another early night tonight and off to the garden centre tomorrow to look at pretty xmas decs and see about a new part of my filter for the fishtank. discovered i still had the heater and filter from the last time i had the fishtank up and running so im buying a new sponge and i need a new light coz the old one broke so thats saved me about £100!!0
