Inspiration for New Potatoes

I was at a food exhibition earlier today (actually, make that yesterday!). They had cooked the new potatoes, then scooped out the flesh and mixed it with a little cheese and mango chutney, refilled the small potato halves and put them back in the oven for a little while. They were really delicious, but probably a bit fiddly to do in large quantities.0

boil or steam potatoes as normal then put into a large frying pan, add a large glug of maple syrup ( you could use golden syrup ,but not as nice ) and a couple of teaspoons of pesto, gently mix and cook in the pan till all sticky and reduced..... these are sooooo yummyslimmimg world weight loss 6lbs

How about a Potato Bake, layer slices of potato and onions in a dish, season and pour over some stock, bake in the oven until potatoes cooked.
Or how about potato salad, boil potatoes, leave to go cold, add some mayo and chopped chives - yummy."WASTE NOT, WANT NOT!"GC for OH, myself, DD18 & DD16 includes Toiletries, cleaning stuff & Food.

This is one of my favourite dishes (we call it Pan Haggarty). I do it in a huge, deep frying pan with a close fitting lid. Let it 'sweat' for about 2 hours on a fairly low heat, it's just yummy.
Ooh and DH specially likes it with lean bacon between the layers of potato and onion!I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
I've also done the potato bake, but i usually do it with onions and cheese.
However once i decided i used half a jar of chicken tonight sauce, just for something different and it was actually very nice.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160 -
