    Just been read this.

The age of majority is 18 for most purposes including sitting on a jury, voting, standing as a candidate, buying or renting films with an 18 certificate or R18 certificate or seeing them in a cinema, viewing, hiring, or being depicted in pornographic materials, suing without a litigant friend, being civilly liable, accessing adoption records and purchasing alcohol, tobacco products, knives and fireworks.

My son was with me and also got the same letter banning him.
I forgot to tell them that he is under 18, they also did not ask.

He signed a letter about the ban.

It states that if we go on there land it would be trespassing.

does this letter still apply to him as well ?

    Hi,

All i do is basically go to ASDA and have a look at the reduced items and wait till its gets reduced to a price i'm willing to pay for the items. They put a little label on the item ( which is tamper proof) saying its reduced and to what price. I have been accused of tampering with the labels but they only say they have 1 member of staff who "says" that they have seen me tampering with the labels, and will not produce there evidence when i asked them to do so.

You wait till the reduced items get further reduced? How much waiting is involved here - if you're hanging around the reduced counter for an hour I'm not really surprised they've taken steps to have you removed.

You don't happen to be in Halifax do you?

going back a few years my oh was arrested and taken to the police station cos of the preice reductions...Like u say we hover around until they reduce them a bit, but on this occasion they said he had put the reduced lable onto that product himself...Obviously was was later let out of the poilce station cos they had no proof..and he didnt do it..

I do not think this will be the case here.

Any case, there needs to a law change. While they are in the right to just ban people, they should give reason/cause in their letter banning you. They do not.

its private property. they can ban who they like without giving a reason. they dont want you there. i used to work in a supermarket and people like you were routinely banned. going to the supermarket is not a social excursion. oddballs should be banned to protect the staff.

If you are standing waiting for that length of time then I can see why they would wish to remove you although it is a bit much to place a ban on you and your son. Its putting pressure on staff to reduce the products also.

I would send a letter to the head man and see what he can do or find another store to shop at.

Maybe your right. But why make this type of thing up ?
why not just ask you leave or a warning.

maybe they havent and you did do what they said. the facts are they dont want you in their shop. you have no right to be in their shop. so dont go back. go somewhere else and stand for AN HOUR waiting for the stuff to be reduced. or better yet get some form of life so the supermarket isnt a social excursion to you.
