I understand what you saying & the way you are saying.

As to moving on, not so easy. They land makes up a large part of the town. And there are other shop parts in there store ie post office etc.

I have been accused of tampering with the labels but they only say they have 1 member of staff who "says" that they have seen me tampering with the labels, and will not produce there evidence when i asked them to do so.

It sounds like the unnamed person defamed you. In doing so they may have broken the law so you will need more info about them from Asda. For the person to defend themselves they will need to have proof that they had evidence before they spoke against you. If they only said they "thought" you had tampered then ASDA have over-reacted and that can be challenged
Defamation is a general term for the false attack on your character or reputation through either libel or slander. Slander is verbal statement that suggests you lack integrity/are dishonest etc.
Defamation is an injury to the your reputation or character resulting from the false statements or actions of another i.e a false attack on your good name/ an improper and unlawful attack against your good name, your reputation.
You need to get the defamation cleared up even if you vote with your feet afterwards. Speak to CAB?

    Homer88,

You are oviously unhappy and I can see that you do want them to make amends for an action you feel a member of staff made against you.

It is not going to achieve anything here by organising a venddeta over the issue that has been caused, I can assue you 100% Watchdog will fail to even acknowledge this as a problem, yes you may get an auto response back after emailing them but that will be all no one will follow this up from there offices.

Legal action will be a complete waste of time effort and money and even if you get Legal Aid a Solicitor will not take this on as a case.

Do as first suggested and write in to the Director and see what they respond with, again is this worth a lot of time and energy for personaly I think not but each to there own.

Move on use another store as is the case in any area now you do have choices.

Mistakes happen everyday in life so save your energy and put it into something worthwhile.

crazyguy, Watchdog may be interested in some of the OP's claims, esp about the mistakes and photos he has - they've been doing a weekly special on Tesco behaviour after a journalist taking pictures of pricing mistakes was man handled out of their store (i think he was even threatened with the police being called possibly?). so if Asda are being quite heavy handed i would imagine this fits right into the little series Watchdog is doing - i wouldn't be so fast to say their editors woudn't be interested.

as a matter of fact, i'd urge you to watch a few episodes of the latest Watchdogs, some of the things they're reporting about Teso pricing is absolutely unbelievable - really really amusing (to me - not if you're the one being charged stupidly in store, of course). good tv!

I do not think this will be the case here.

Any case, there needs to a law change. While they are in the right to just ban people, they should give reason/cause in their letter banning you. They do not.
