Hoping the scales are right! :D Of course starting a diet you are probably more likely to make a big weight loss at first so perhaps that's what's happened?

Violence is never okay, is it? And if you've been subject to it before then it's worse, it brings back things you had left in the past. Your friend may bluster and make excuses but there's no excuse for either of them treating you as they did.

Anyway you are safely back home now and it's up to you whether you have further contact with them.

Liking the sound of your budget. :) Is this based on your current spending? I know it's helped us a lot to have a limit. We get cash out for food shopping and when it's gone, it's gone, so we have learned to make it stretch all week.

My start to the NY? A bit odd really: I work night shifts and have a streaming cold so I would rather have been at home asleep but at least I get paid for being up all night! LOL. Another shift tonight then a couple of days off...

    Happy New Year. :)

  • happy new year to you and to everyone reading this, (don't imagine there are many) haha

Budget is based on recent spending over the last few months, thought i never usually factored in anything for entertainment and i THINK thats where i might have gone over before, just free spending.

There must be loads of things you can do for £20 a week and if we go to the cinema, we could go orange wednesday and take snacks for the food budget.
MY son doesnt usually eat at home except breakfast, and supper and i make his packed lunches so the dinners are just for me, things like omelettes, baked potatoes etc.
and i have recently started going to Aldis for the odd thing and finding it fab.
CAt food is only 17p and the cat actually likes it so ...bonus

Happy New Year! (sorry belated but been away!)....so sorry to hear about the party issues. Doesn't sound like you have a very nice friend there - i'd be fuming if it were me. Still, NY and all that - don't let others behaviours affect you. Your friend knows she is in the wrong which is prob why she is being so defensive about it all.

On another note WOO HOO to the weight loss!!!!!!!!!! :T:T:T That's amazing, hope you are mighty proud of yourself as you should be! :D xx

  • evening all.

    Hows everybody tonight.
THanks for the support. Im feeling fat again though, watching Sex and the City while they eat raw vegetables and i eat a bacon sandwich.
MInd you I suppose everyone is fat next to Carrie Bradshaw.

Peter Griffin from Family guy says she 'looks like foot' lol

Was working last night late till 1am in my second job and my normal job at 9am this morning so very tired, and the storms didn't help/

Mind you, neither did my stupid cat, deciding he was scared of the wind and running round and round in circles. Was kind of funny when he ran into the couch at 5am haha.

Have set up a standing order into my savings account at £60 per week in order to get my £300 this month but transferred an extra £60 after payday the other day so now have £120. I am on track for this.

I am so pleased with the weightloss although i know the first week is usually the fastest.

Have no idea what to make for lunch tomorrow, Am going to have to stay organised. Any ideas??

Went to Aldi's on the way home, am really liking it there at the moment, only the third time i've been but only spent £17 so I still have £82.89 of my £123.90 budget left.

    Banana sandwich and a yogurt.

Or not, as the case may be.

Cats seem to go completely scatty when it's windy, don't they? A primary teacher I know says kids do too. The rabbit hunkers down with a look of loathing on her furry face and toughs it out, but she's definitely not keen. (That's when she's outdoors - she's in tonight due to the cold).

Hope you get some sleep tonight.
