  • Have decided that too much time in my house is stuck in front of the Ps3 or the tv. I have a 13 year old son, and think we will start going for a walk every night, in order to spend some valuable catch up time, help with the weight and get away from Fifa.

We live on a really long road so i think even half an hour power walking down that road would be good.

I think this is a fab idea! Quality time with your Son and exercise at the same time - perfect!

We moved to our house August last year (2010) and I started running when I got here and at that time I used to pass a couple on an evening walk (prob after their dinner) and I continue to pass them now and they are indeed half if not more than half the save that they were when I first started going out. They also started just strolling and now they power walk some of it and then walk....it can be done and they clearly enjoy it. Hope that motivates you lovely :D

P.S i'm up for mutual support in weight loss and toning up - I don't have a lot to lose but would like to aim for 1st in time for my wedding in April and maintaining it....bring it on!!! ;)
  • well done pal, I used to be a runner in school, but i wobble too much now.
IM a size 18/20 , i don't have to buy my clothes in special shops yet or anything but don't really want to get the stage that I have to go to the Moo moo shop where Homer Simpson goes.

congrats on your wedding, have you got a plan for it? x

If the weight is holding you back or your feel like it is, then I sympathise with you. I don't have a lot of weight to lose, about 2 stone, but I am sick of the way I look. I look my age whereas for most of my life people have said I look younger....so good luck with your goals and I will keep an eye out to see how you get on

I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
  • i feel it does hold me back. I have been single 6 years, for a lot of different reasons, more or less because i feel im not good looking enough.

I dont think im ugly but not good enough for anyone. I dont want to waste time, trying to meet someone when im unhappy with myself x

  • hiya pal, thanks for joining in. Im going to be honest, i have had an awful year and can't remember much of it.
I lost my brother suddenly in MAy at 32, and haven't been coping well.

Before that, i had just joined weightwatchers, lost 9 pounds in 3 weeks and managed to save over a thousand pounds,

I then ate loads, blew the lot on a holiday and am back to square one.

2012 will hopefully be different and better

It most certainly will be and you have the support of everyone here! :D

I am sorry to hear about your brother, that must have been really hard.

The best piece of advice I have ever been given is..... small baby steps all the way.....it really does work. Changing things slowly for the better is important and most of all be kind to yourself.

    Take care xx
  • thanks for that Choc. THis year has been incredibly hard for my family, just seems impossible to get over it, he had only been married 2 years and was looking forward to being a father one day.

anyway I shan't depress myself this morning. I have a day off today.
I weighed myself on Tuesday morning on my Weightwatchers scales and was 18 stone 8, yesterday i was 18 stone 4 and today i'm 18 stone and a quarter.

    Surely that can't be right. I can't be losing 4 pounds a day?????:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Not unless my actual skin is falling off haha

Day 3 of the weightwatchers today, don;t know why i ever stopped to be honest, it is so easy
