    There is no problem in being a trainnee, but if you can not get a Trainee job then it would seem the chances of finding a job in that firm lower than that in a related role is very unlikely.

    There is no problem in being a trainnee, but if you can not get a Trainee job then it would seem the chances of finding a job in that firm lower than that in a related role is very unlikely.

    It doesn't have to be a related role. Get in there doing what ever you can - and once you are there, be the best you can be, and keep showing them how great you are, and keep asking for what you want. My dad became a manager for his company after starting working in one of thier factories on the shop floor with no alevels.

    how would you ever know if a position is available phil, if you never leave your house, or computer chair for that fact???

    Since you are all having a go. I would be completely happy with something for a first job just like changing the toner tubes and unjamming printers-- which is the most basic job going in IT.
