Luckily they had just bagged it up for disposal anyway so had 6 large sacks off them for free.
That should take us through to next year for the guinea pigs!
This sounds like a great idea, but these woods are often treated with all sorts of chemicals that aren't great for small furries lungsFar better to spend maybe £6 - £10 for a bale of shavings for horses.
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0 -

I usually have water with mine,I have flavours Honey and Almond and Golden Syrup at the moment but there are other flavours.
Yes-- they are made by Quaker Oats!0 -
One thing I have remembered from the last 2 winters is how difficult it was to see at night when I wasdriving home from work - the lights from the oncoming cars seem to blur and refract in my windshield no matter what I clean it with AND its a new windshield. Is there anything I can reliably use - either cleaner or screen or something to stop me driving like a VERY old lady at 25 mph and annoying all the other road users????
Have you been tested for cataracts?0 -

Apart from that, not a lot of progress from me - my foot's been killing for the past couple of days and not sure why:(. I phoned my consultant's sec this afternoon and she's going to get back to me tomorrow so hoping they'll come up with something.
The gout perhaps?0 -
Hi Kathy - I have had my eyes looked at recently and there is nothing obvious there but its clear to me, as Rainy said , that my eyes have become more sensitive to the glare from oncoming lights and as its a 34 mile drive with quite a bit on what I think you would call a 2 lane road I get really agitated and just end up constantly breaking and really upsetting the guys behind me. Still if I try these yellow specs and make sure the windshield is as clean as it can be maybe it wont be so bad this year.debt free 2021 at current DMP rate[/COLOR] (probably be in an old peoples home by then)0

Although it isn't terribly frugal, I'm with Raksha on this. I have chickens and I also have a husband who does a lot of woodwork, and continually encourages me to use his woodhavings as bedding. I have to keep explaining that this has too much dust in it and could cause problems for the chooks in the houses, but I compromise and do use it in the muddy runs to soak up some of the mud so that their feet stay a little drier. It seems to be OK outside. I get bales of Bed-down excel, and use that in the houses. When I clean them out, it and the chook poo compost down quite well and it all goes in the garden veg beds eventually!December GC: £3500 -

The gout perhaps?
:eek:Thankfully no as I've heard it's really painful:( ....
I had surgery a couple of weeks ago and it was doing really well but seem to have taken several steps back over the past few days for some reason.
Could just be a hiccup but thought it was best to phone and see if they can suggest anything - fingers crossed.Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

(Before you all think "loon", I've got the cold which tends to make me very emotional - I also cried watching both ER and BBC Breakfast's Teen awards bit this morning:o and it almost certainly won't be the last time today).
One step closer towards winter today ..... drum roll please ..... I had my first bowl of Oat so Simple this morning!
It's just as yummy as I remember - I tend to go for the "original" as you get more (12) in the box:o and add my own flavourings. This morning was golden syrup!
Apart from that, not a lot of progress from me - my foot's been killing for the past couple of days and not sure why:(. I phoned my consultant's sec this afternoon and she's going to get back to me tomorrow so hoping they'll come up with something.
Have you been doing too much hun?Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.0
