When DS2 was still in the cot bed, well the bed bit of it, I bought single sheets & just gave them extra tucking in space. His bed now is shorter than standard, but not so much that the fitted sheets don't work.0

Can anyone suggest a free pattern for slipper boots ? i recon my extra pillow cases would make lovely boots but i've never tried to make em and i fancy the challenge, thanks
i don't have a pattern for any but my old pair fell to bits and i noticed the soles seemed to be some sort of underlay material like for carpet so if you have any spare about the house that could be an idea for what to fill them with0 -
Today, my clever 6yr old DD picked up a quilted pillow protector that was on the sofa, and popped her legs inside, pulled it up and is using it as a mini sleeping bag for snuggling up watching tv!
Would be better for smaller kiddies as they could pull it right up0 -

You can freeze semi skimmed and skimmed milk, yes just whack it in the freezer but make sure there is a bit of space in the container as frozen it takes up a bit more space - I free 4 pt plastic cartons and as they are never filled right to the top they are fine. Just leave them in fridge or on side to defrost - they take up to a day so you need to plan ahead if you know you are going to have to use them - then just give them a really good shake as they look weird when defrosted but quite safe to use. if you forget to shake ( yes done that) it means milk seems watery as fat is all in one place rather than mixed through but again quite safe to drink.
Just don't freeze full fat as it contains to much fat to freezer safely so is more likely to go off even in the freezerNeed to get back to getting finances under control now kin kid at uni as savings are zilch
