Ooooooooooooooh I take it back it does have a kind of header at one end with little holes in, not really much thicker than the rest of it though.

Thanks Pips Mum:) I think it would be worth getting them anyway at that price. She can always fork out for fleeces as well if she's that bothered-lols

prepareathome, Pips Mum and unixgirluk, thank you for posting about the curtains:)

Do they have header tape on them? Might be able to persuade DD they're not too bad if they do. Although she informed me that it may make it look as if they're growing ca####is if they hang them at their front window:o

i got mine today too and no, they don't have header tape, basically they are folded over about 1.5 inches and that is sealed so it's like a hem and they have sealed holes every so often. i didn't unfold mine all the way but it didn't look like that many holes per curtain

the wires you hang net curtains on would work, or, like me you could hang a large safety pin through the hole and just hook that to your header tape for your regular curtains.

it says you can turn it one way to keep the suns heat out and the other to keep the suns heat in, personally i can't see a huge difference between the sides but i plan to hang mine on the keeping the warmth in way in my huge living room window. I'm upstairs and hardly overlooked the way this block of flats sits but i think i will wait until september or october to put them up as i don't want to blind anyone on our very rare sunny days this summer if they do happen to look up and over my way :p

i also picked up a few other goodies including some random kleeneze products and i'm well pleased with them, and particularly the price. i've ordered from halfcost before and whilst the website is sometimes a bit of a pain to deal with and occassionally the orders are slow to arrive (this one came quickly!) they are good value for money on quite a few items

Tink LO is in a toddler bed and I got the single ones on offer in ISME/ Very discussed a few pages back, I just fold the edges under. Mothercare do sell them but of course they are quite expensive or you could try Ebay. I got 2 moses basket flannel sheets the other day on there for £2 something and they are actually £10 in Mothercare.

Thanks will have a look on eBay - I ordered some for our bed from very - never thought about using a single sheet - did you cut it or was it not too much to fold?

Asda had a toddler bed duvet cover set - pink sports reduced to £4 - they had the matching fleeces for £1.50 they are small but would be enough to go over a toddler bed if any one else is looking

No its not too much to just fold over and tuck in underneath, think you end up with about half a foot either side and it just goes underneath easily.

As of Monday my winter prep starts in earnest beings as the weather is going to be good, which means getting the scarves and the new flannelette sheets washed, dried and put away.

I shall also make a start on washing the carpets as well.

My half cost order came today too, and I also have the tin foil curtain. I also ordered a bamboo runner, thinking it was the name of the design, it's actually made of bamboo, so wondering if it will be safe to walk on?
