Thanks for the replies.
That's just the sort of thing, but would have to use mail order but that would be OK
In spite of living in London, not much near me so I go to Croydon on the tram for bigger things. There I've got; M&S, BHS, Next, Debenhams, House of Fraser, Primark, Ikea at a push.
Just looked on BHS web site and they have waffle fleeces, but don't look very fluffy.
The John Lewis one is ahead unless anyone knows of any others up to around the £20 mark.
Mum has a very 'little world' these days and little things are so important to her.
Annie, Primark do some 'fluffy' fleeces, I'm not sure of the prices but I doubt they'll be expensive.
Unless you have already got one for your Mum, what about a wheat bag? You know the ones you put into the microwave. I got one for my Grandpa a few years ago as he got terrible pain in his leg where he had pins and heat helped. My Gran liked it so much I went to get another so they had one each. My Mum got me one in the shape of a little dog (I do however wind her up saying there's something quite wrong watching this little fleece dog going round and round in the microwave), which gets used as soon as there's a chill in the air.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. I don't know if its just at all Morrisons garages or just mine but they were selling the 10kg bags of easy melt - that I think was about £4 last winter - for 99p. I even went through 2 of them keeping paths back, front and side clear last winter even though so mild so still had one left so bought another few today. Hubby hates having a lot of heavy things in boot so going back tomorrow in hope they have some left ( they had about 20 this afternoon) as I want more, as it at least cannot go off.....Need to get back to getting finances under control now kin kid at uni as savings are zilch

here's a thought for anyone with a multi fuel stove, tesco has the old style of kettle you put on a hob etc and it even has a built in tea infuser for just £2.48 http://www.tesco.com/direct/tesco-kettle-1l-silver-aluminium/200-0128.prd?skuId=200-0128&pageLevel=
they also have some rubber trugs for £2.96 in a bunch of colours, i can see these being useful for kindling, wet boots, maybe toss all the hats and scarves in, one full of emergency stuff off in a corner etc
http://www.tesco.com/direct/tesco-flexi-tub-black/212-8240.prd?skuId=212-8240&pageLevel=
also a 1L flask for £4.50 http://www.tesco.com/direct/tesco-stainless-steel-flask-10l/213-1303.prd?skuId=213-1303&pageLevel=
or this 1.8L flask that may possibly have 2 cups, can't quite tell from the picture for £7.97 http://www.tesco.com/direct/thermos-premier-34-blackflask-18l/100-5906.prd?skuId=100-5906&pageLevel=
if you're going to order the fleeces anyway might be worth tossing one of those in too, i'm getting the kettle to use on my camp stove in case we get a long power cut.0 -

We used to live on a massive plot with 4 old greenhouses, 1 became a log store. It was fab, we always had lovely dry wood! Now we live in the city and we've got to buy a logburner and build a logstore, but it'll be worth it! Doesn't feel like home without a real fire.Make £2020 in 2020 £178.81/£2020

I'm really surprised that some chains have not taken the opportunity to open in Croydon, like Wilkinsons. I am desperate to go into one of them! Hopefully someone will take over some of Allders and maybe some of the staff there can keep their jobs.A smile costs little but creates much0 -
Both my kids have the wheat bags (B&M a few years ago. They are inside fluffy lions) and we use them for cold hands when coming back from school in the winter. That bag, fleece blankets, hot choc and digestives make good feelings in the winter and something to look forward to on the long cold trek home.0

Check it daily because they are constantly putting new stuff on there or returns. I check it about 9am so that they still have stock - after lunchtme allot of it seems to go!
If you have a Next store near you as well have them delivered to store as it will save you £3.50 on delivery charges.Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money:beer:
