Did anyone get the J Lewis' fleece blankets for £2.50? Mine arrived today and I'm really pleased with it, wish I'd got more.0

They sound good, I did not know about them...:("A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

I did post on this thread about the offer, a few days ago I think.
I saw it in the grabbit forum further down the main front page. Always worth having a look in that forum (I look at least daily) as many offers come up I would otherwise miss.
I was going to get 4 fleeces but decided on one and then when I went back they were sold out. It's a really nice colour with blamket stitching around the edge.0 -
I'll remember to look there in future...maybe I'll still get one when they go back to the usual price if they get them in again...
Is these anything like what you were on about?

I saw you post here Byatt. I almost bought but thought I shouldn't as spent too much this month. Wish I had though. No Popperwell they were only £2.50 I think, I don't think they are the ones - they look lovely though0

Must've been a special batch they got in Fuddle, thought if these were similar even if they'd increased in price, I might consider one but I don't really understand the difference between a fleece and a throw...:o"A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. I got given a lovely one when I went on mat leave with my eldest. My colleagues got a big basket and each brought something, and one of them was a thick fleece. I assume an unwanted gift, it is a Ralph Loren Polo one. Can't imagine someone buying it for a baby shower! It's lovely though, and enormous.
My MIL also got me one, it's only a primark one, but it's sort of ribbed, she said she found it for £1 but again this is 4 years ago... Both kiddies love to snuggle up in this when they are tired or unwell.Bossymoo

It's the 2nd link Popperwell, although they don't have the colour I have, mine's more of a teal. And if you have a Wa!trose you might be able to collect from there instead of paying P&P.

I got the coats washed today - not a big job because it is actually only two coats, one of which is my work coat that I bought from M&S last year in the sale and the other which is manufactured for use for horses but also I use it for shopping as well because it's waterproofed, light and ideal for car and shopping. They are drying on the clothes horse in the conservatory at the moment. I also washed a pair of thinsulate gloves as well.
My big heavy down coat which is padded, I washed last year and I only wore it a few times when the weather was dire. It has hardly had any use at all so I am not washing that this year. It is not dirty and doesn't need washing. It also happens to be a beggar to dry as well because it is so thick - took me three days when it was hot last year to get it completely dry.
I am going to have to go through my scarves next and get those washed. I am slow with my preps this year but that may well be because allot of my jobs are washing and cleaning based.Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money:beer:

I have sourced the bay window curtain pole and have budgeted into DH's next pay on 15h July.
It's a big thing because it means that after 3 winters in this house we can finally get some curtains to cover 4 x 1.5 meters of window. I'm thinking snug thoughts already.
