  • Here it feels cold enough for snow, although it dry ( for a change) and sunny. Yesterday although rained at first it changed to sunny and cold and was pleased I was able to wear my new ( to me from charity shop) velvet jacket - its black with all sorts of glass beads on it, am a sucker for anything like that, only in black though, cost £15 which is a lot for a CS but oh was so cosy in it as its thick and padded but looks so dressy. Always amazes me when I find something really good in CS how people can give things like that away, as looks like its hardly been worn, more money than sense. It actually looks like fur and someone did comment when in a queue in Poundland that wearing fur is disgusting till I pointed out it was velvet and they were welcome to have a feel of it - which they did and hurumphed and shut up. They did mutter to themselves about people having money buying in cheap shops and how they should leave them to the poor and how the wealthy were buying up things cheap and stopping others from doing so, but I decided wasn't going to get into an argument on income with her so let her mutter on.

Just hoping it stays dry this evening as we are off out to cinema ( first time in I do not know how many years) to see Warhorse and want to wear the jacket then, but think will wear a hat and scarf as usually where a shawl over good coat but it will not look right with jacket.
Need to get back to getting finances under control now kin kid at uni as savings are zilch

Id love to have some snow, I dont know whats up with me but since Jan 1 st ive wanted some snow......Im usually the last person to want it, but I do, im putting my parts on now........., Its not winter without snow, god dam ....
  • If anyone has some spare snow we would give it a really good home in Hampshire - look after it properly, give it lots of excersise etc. etc. etc. Just a small envelope full would be sooooooo...... nice!
  • Well absolutly pouring down ( could use a worse word but doubt censor would approve:))

Didn't get to see Warhorse last night as hubby was so tired and would have slept through it so going on Tuesday as have SW and it finishes around 7.20pm and the cinema is just across the road from the pub its held in and film starts at 7.30pm so will just leave a few mins early. Hubby always takes me to SW and waits in car having a snooze or reading till I come out - home is only 5mins away but he says its to much trouble to go home and get comfy only to come out again and of course it upsets the pooches.

The name on the jacket is SGIROGGO or the Os could be Qs not sure with the stitching and it was made in India where so much lovely beadwork comes from, and yes am totally in love with it. I have nice Jackets for the summer but didn't have a nice winter one any more.

It would be raining so heavy today as actually going to hairdressers for first time in not sure how many years, just been trimming ends myself but hair is almost at waist and no style so leaving it down it always looks a mess so tends to be bunged up in a bun all the time and I want to enjoy having long hair ( wanted it all my life but was always to fine and now its thickened up at last) so not wanting them to cut much off just to give it some shape. Its only local hairdressers 5 mins from house if I can get across the main road quickly ( sometimes you can be standing there for 10 mins before a gap in traffic. For most people they would take a min, two tops to get there but my pace is sadly a lot slower.

Was hoping to get rest of fruit garden out of its box and planted today but just to wet - should have done it yesterday but as I thought I was going out I rested, well did go out last night elsewhere instead and today so tired but not cancelling hair appointment the Frump to Fab thread has me brainwashed into looking better.

I would love snow, even hubby would prefer snow to the constant rain we have been having I honestly cannot think of one day since November when it has not rained sometime during the day. Its not quite as cold today as it was yesterday, but that makes it worse as you have to wrap up to keep dry and end up to hot  oh snow please let us have some nice honest winter snow, if city grounds to a halt I don't care I have done my winter preps and have some stocks in, totally selfish I know but don't care.

Hugs and stay warm those with snow and cold and dry those of us with the wet urg:mad:
