Thanks, kittie.
I can't help but long for some decent snow. Maybe I should be careful what I wish for.0 -
our snow comes and goes but hasn't settled. We have gales (again) plus hail showers in amongst the rain. Have the odd clear spell when I leap out into the garden to do something - have moved the chucks out of the swamp - anyone have a pattern for chuck wellies????????

I REALLY don't want snow...:eek::eek: I have to drive over twenty miles into work every day and I absolutely hate driving in snow.......:( Don't get me wrong, if I was off work for a while I would be the first one wishing for it, but at the moment, the thought fills me with dread......_pale_

This morning I managed to persuade DH to go around the the window frames in the hall where I could feel a terrible draught. He has managed to seal all the gaps there now. It took about 15 minutes and it has been waiting to be done for 17 years
Next job is to get the porch doors fitted and to insulate the hall roof and walls.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

I hate snow as well,I don't work any more but I still hate it because of all the disruption it causes. We used to to have a 40 mile drive to work in London every day and 40 miles back so I absolutely hated it!0 -
no snow for me either please! Hate the stuff, and if we don't get the van out and get customers to it we don't make any money.....0

Winter here usually lasts until April/May. We have had snow in June but usually it can snow any time between October 1st and end of April. The fact we have none now mustn't make us complacent.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Here 1/3 sunny, 1/3 freezing, 1/3 rain - I think this winter I have seen more sunshine and rain in the same sky than I have ever seen at other times of the year - you look up and only a couple of small clouds yet the rain that pours from them is unbelievable.....
I cannot remember which thread ( this or tougher one) someone had water under bath because of damaged sealing and I said mine needed doing, well yesterday I actually took off the old seal - found it was much worse than I had thought, the old silicon was like a ribbon and although when cleaned bath it stayed in place it actually was only lying on bath and against tiles not actually fixed to it, so had to do whole way round bath. I doubt I my work would be approved by a competent plumber but there is a seal all round bath, its just silicone is not just there but in some places is thicker but when I tried to sort that I was left with a gap so would rather it look a bit messy but as its drying its not to bad - just checked and a small gap had appeared but silicone is still slightly soft so was able to just press it down and smooth it. So think will have to say no baths before tomorrow or Tuesday nor showers ( as shower is over bath and the head is of dinner plate size to give it time to dry. I did at back of sink as well, that seal had fully gone and at least water down back of it I could mop up, but as I was doing the seal did it and so far even though sink being used for washing and teeth its holding. So want to thank who it was who mentioned it as am hoping your disaster story helps me prevent one, although I do wish it had not happened to you.
