Its just the talk of TV personalities reminded me, when I was at doctors on Monday we were handed their latest newspaper to read while we waited ( all 4 pages) and in it was mentioned we have a new salaried doctor joining the staff, we have 5 partners and a couple of salaried doctors already. His name is Dr Arum Ghosh and it said he is the doctor on the Jeremy Kyle show. I have never watched it, as so rarely watch tv but wondered if anyone had seen him on it and what they thought of him. I will not be making an appointment to see him especially, so doubt I will get to meet him, but one day if I need an emergency appointment I might - they usually keep new doctors for these for a while, but wouldn't be surprised if lots of woman suddenly find they have something wrong with them and must see the telly doctor LOL
I work from home and JK is part of my "market research" so am familiar with him. He is usually wheeled on to tell people if they are pregnant, or how badly their have damaged their bodies through various abuses. Obv you can't judge him as a doc on that evidence, but he seems very approachable and patient (you'd have to be with that lot!). I'd say he was late 30s, scrubs up ok, but I personally wouldn't have a sudden affliction to get a one-to-one with him :rotfl:0 -

Eek!:eek: I only have one cat carrier and 2 pusses, so would have to choose which one I wanted to save :eek:0 -
I moved from London to Kent many years ago and I had 3 cats at the time, I pondered about moving them and suddenly realised I had a big old bird cage no longer being used so I put it on the back seat of the car and shoved the 3 cats into it! There was lots of spitting and growling at each other but it served it's purpose!0

with pleasure but realise that I am speaking in code most of the timeand doubters please look away, I am sure cbrown372 will be kind enough to post the correct and accurate links for you
15% chance of this not happening but I am going no-where from about mid month, 15-17th. I will be tucked up at home with all food and comforts bought before then. I am pleased to say that I have some great new snow boots but I doubt they will be good enough. I thought that article about thundersnow was interesting, remember last year, such a massive dump covered most of the country, N, S, E W
Did cornwall get a dump? I thought not. I know that I couldn`t go anywhere for 6 weeks after that so am very welll prepared just in case, including lots of treats and things to do0 -

Lavender - when I first had cats we couldnt afford a carrier but we had a large canvas bag with a rigid bottom and used to take them (one at a time) in that. In an emergency something like that - you cant be bothered about feline niceties in an emergencies!debt free 2021 at current DMP rate[/COLOR] (probably be in an old peoples home by then)0

Finding the positives...
Thanks to this weather I know where all of the draughts are coming from!:D and Frugal, I'd just taped my backdoor lock up too! (I used a bit of bubblewrap, wet, like we do on the windows, might last longer than the sticky on the masking tape!)
Poohbear don't take any notice of so called celebrities, they knaa nowt! We are in the real world:)
Stay safe everyone. Hope that you all still have power. (OH has a trip to Scotland planned for 17th December... oo-er Missus!) Thanks for the warning Kittie.:)The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.
Thanks to everyone who contributes to this wonderful forum. I'm very grateful for the guidance and friendliness that I always receive from you.

just wondered what happened to the snow on the 1-2 Dec?
try following your local airport, council and weather people and the Met Office for free on Twitter where you can get plenty of up to date accounts of what is happening on your roads.
we had snow around the beginning of dec, been waiting since then for more!
i had a read of the piers corbin site and it appears that there was some sort of solar filament that couldn't have been predicted and has thrown some things slightly askew.
overall i've been fairly impressed with how accurate he's been though i'm not entirely convinced of all he believes in i'm very interested in how he uses solar and lunar activity in conjunction with more commonly used weather systems like la nina to do longer range forecasts... on a whole i've found him consistently more accurate than any other office with the met and bbc reports being the very least accurate overall in my experience (i have 4 different weather links on my toolbar, met included so i DO actually watch and compare frequently!)0
