as far as I can tell, mid month. Other than that I can`t say as it is a confidential forecast but very worth the cost if you are travelling anywhere, or if scared. Look at the comments further down the link for a few hints re after 7/8th

just wondered what happened to the snow on the 1-2 Dec?

try following your local airport, council and weather people and the Met Office for free on Twitter where you can get plenty of up to date accounts of what is happening on your roads.
Its not that we have more patience as we grow older, its just that we're too tired to care about all the pointless drama ;)

The Met Office :rotfl: When did they ever get the weather right? lol
  • kittie, your help is always very much appreciated. I'm not a subscriber but I know that your service can be so accurate. It's always great to know there's a potential risk now the Met Office don't do much long range forecasting.

poohbear - I wouldn't take to heart the antics of a few showbiz types who probably don't know the meaning of budgeting and have someone else do all their winter prep. Yes, I'm generalising about showbiz types but they weren't exactly being very nice were they?

Agreed - I stopped paying attention to the opinions of mollycoddled media types after hearing Chris Evans laughing at people being worried about their car being stolen - 'you're insured, get another one' - I let him know that for some people their insurance excess is more than their car is worth, and losing it means finding the money to buy another one! Funnily enough my feedback didn't get a mention on air...:rotfl:

Does anyone know if it's ok to drive after the op? It's not a major one so I would have thought it was ok.

I ended up with same problem years ago when hubby went for the snip, and hospital told us no he cannot drive afterwards so we had to get a friend to take him and bring him back, he was still a bit groggy and went to bed but ok next day.

Its just the talk of TV personalities reminded me, when I was at doctors on Monday we were handed their latest newspaper to read while we waited ( all 4 pages) and in it was mentioned we have a new salaried doctor joining the staff, we have 5 partners and a couple of salaried doctors already. His name is Dr Arum Ghosh and it said he is the doctor on the Jeremy Kyle show. I have never watched it, as so rarely watch tv but wondered if anyone had seen him on it and what they thought of him. I will not be making an appointment to see him especially, so doubt I will get to meet him, but one day if I need an emergency appointment I might - they usually keep new doctors for these for a while, but wouldn't be surprised if lots of woman suddenly find they have something wrong with them and must see the telly doctor LOL
