Great minds Frugal! I was just thinking should we be discussing kale and wind in the same postings!:rotfl:Rosieben you are welcome to use the recipe. Mardatha, you should be ashamed of yourself, get it down you, maybe a nice side dish of sprouts to follow?:rotfl:It's full of iron and will give you muscles like Pansy Potter.:D
This weather's really scary isn't it? I've just wrestled the Christmas wreath off our front door as it was blowing about and making the door knocker work on it's own... I was getting quite spooked!:o:eek:
Hope that everyone is ok. Thinking of you and hope that the weather settles down soon.:)The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.
Thanks to everyone who contributes to this wonderful forum. I'm very grateful for the guidance and friendliness that I always receive from you.

as far as I can tell, mid month. Other than that I can`t say as it is a confidential forecast but very worth the cost if you are travelling anywhere, or if scared. Look at the comments further down the link for a few hints re after 7/8th0 -
Hi everyone, I hope u are all safe and that the storms pass uneventfully for you. Here in the midlands its very windy and rainy, and cold.
I second people's comments on being prepared. So glad. Peace of mind is priceless. Though I'm now worried about the patio table (new things with new house this year), I'd never thought about the table or anything else going flying. We're already down to 1 thickness in the double glazing in one of the doors... Now wondering if I can get the table ect in the shed...rising_from_the_ashes wrote: »LOL:D I popped into Home Bar*gains and bought another couple of packs (I was down to 112!);
!:)
Great minds and all that, I went to Home Bargains today too and got more loo roll. I also got sauces, cheaper thorntons and red sky crisps so could only carry one 18pack. Might go back tomorrow since I'm working round the corner again.omg :eek: :eek: :eek:

I have just ordered my cling film secondary glazing online and then saw a discussion about it on the One Show. They were making fun of itbusiness mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

What a day! Hope everyone is warm and ok.
Decided to move furniture about in living room and just when the room was in total chaos I saw a big van and a huge big lorry with machinery on it outside my window and men walking about my drive and garden - went to see what it was about and told them to come in for some soup as it was dreadful outside - apparently there is a mains water leak - my whole drive and garden has been dug up - massive hole which I suppose will be my outdoor swimming pool to-morrow - now the worrying thing is I'm worried sick in case I am going to be billed for all this work - I'm hoping my car will be fixed to-morrow and that is going to be a huge bill and the last time the oil was delivered he gave me over twice the amount I asked for, £500 instead of £200 so I still owe that. And the living room is a total mess and I don't know where to start. Sorry for the rant and I know I am not in as bad a situation as others - it could be a lot worse but shall we say it is testing me. Take care everyone.Treat the Earth well,It was not given to you by your parents,It was loaned to you by your children.Masai proverb0 -

poohbear - I wouldn't take to heart the antics of a few showbiz types who probably don't know the meaning of budgeting and have someone else do all their winter prep. Yes, I'm generalising about showbiz types but they weren't exactly being very nice were they?"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass...it's about learning how to dance in the rain." ~ Vivian Greene0 -
Just put some masking tape over the lock at the back door - no draught nowPutting these winter preps here so I don't forget!
