Keep safe everyone .... horrendous out there now & I'm really worried something will smash into my patio doors..... (really worried about the patio doors:()
I used to worry about my patio door's, so used to try to make sure stuff was well away from them. What is out there that you think might blow about? I used to turn my garden table upside down.

Can you put your bins somewhere sheltered? Someone posted about tying them up with bungee. Can you tie them together with bungee or rope, or washing line or tie them to a gate or fence so they don't cause any damage? Or put them in a porch or hallway overnight (they may not be clean, but probably aren't too smelly at this time of year).

Ohhhh that's how I feel too - never had wind like this here before.....

Have made it safely back indoors .... have just managed to squeeze the bins into the garage & get the doors shut.

Next doors is blowing around too though as well as a garden chair they leave out all year round but just can't get them in the garage as well (it's a really tight fit to get the car in as it is and it only done in the worst weather because of this).

There's not really not a lot else in my garden that could blow - in normal Scottish gales - loads of stuff round the back of the garage but it's reasonably sheltered there (compared to everywhere else) - and just can't get anymore stuff in the garage so fingers crossed.....

I just hope it doesn't snow/get icy overnight. DH is off to get the 'snip' tomorrow :D and it's a nearly 20 mile drive. I was going to get up early and drop him off, then come back in time to take my youngest DD to school. She fell ill this afternoon, so I don't think she'll be going. Does anyone know if it's ok to drive after the op? It's not a major one so I would have thought it was ok.
