Oh dear,,, What have I started :wall:
:rotfl:
Winter preps will be grinding to a halt this week due to silly working hours so this weekend will be spent getting house tidy and washing sorted to make life easier next week.
Top of priority list after that is to get the flippin curtain back up in the living room :mad:0 -

Prepareathome has given a much more detailed post than this one but IMO you should get a dehumidifier.
I got mine a few years ago to deal with a sopping conservatory. I have since moved and use it upstairs in a cold built in wardrobe (2 outside walls and north facing). I leave it on in there and because of its brilliant drying capabilities I am able to take my washing straight from the machine and hang it in the wardrobe where it dries overnight(I don't do ironing
)
The mould that had started to appear has cleared so I no longer have to worry about it.
They are pricey but definately worth it.
Oh will it work - and Froogs what kind of de-humid. is it?debt free 2021 at current DMP rate[/COLOR] (probably be in an old peoples home by then)0 -

. Only to remember that its downstairs atm, and was about 3ft away from me :rotfl:
Its just a H0mebase own brand one which is a bit like THIS but I am fairly sure it cost me about £89...0 -
Frugal - You have the exact same dehumidifier as me
Its brilliant isn`t it, i can`t remember where i got mine from but they seem to be everywhere now, bit expensive but worth every penny. I think that i paid the same as you did but it was quite some time ago and i wouldn`t be without it now.
Well i`ve still not had chance to alter the curtains for the kitchen, it'll be spring at this rate before i get them up, i have just stocked up on some more loo rolls though:o we opened one of the 24 pack from in the shed and it left a big gap so i just had to buy some more to fill it
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
its ridiculously easy and yet took me years to figure it out.... So.... Do i share my new found information or let you figure it out yourself? :d
ok i agree to share but everyone (thats you too, lurkers!) has to post this evening. This is my favourite thread and i want lots of interesting replies to read this evening :rotfl:
At the bottom of each post you have a thanks button, then next to it is quote, then and orange and pink speech bubble one, a pencil, report and then spam. As you read thru posts, click the orange and pink speech bubble one on each post you want to include on your reply. A tick will appear on it. Then, when you get to the end of the page, click "post reply" on the left side as normal and, low and behold, they all appear on your reply message!!!
:t:t:t
(hope someone scientific does, as you say, tell us... I am sure that was snow up there on those crazy heavy clouds!)
trying to see if this 'quote' business works for me!0 -
OH. THANK YOU FRUGAL, FOR THE INFORMATION ON HOW TO SEND QUOTES CORRECTLY.
YOU'RE A STAR! x0 -
I've been here since the year dot and didnt know how to multi quote!“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0

Thanks Frugal - I went to the meter cupboard today to see how much power mine was using and it didnt seem to be much given that I have 2 freezers and a fridge which I didnt bother to turn off. I am sure its gott to b cheaper than a tumble dryer and it has the benefit of drying rather than filling the place with vapour.
I feel dreadful tonight - not sure if its cos I went to visit a friend on Weds and got city germs or if its because I have a flippin' big boil on my bottom!!! (Sorry I know thats too much info - but where else am I going to get some support?) I hav a temperature of 101 F and feel like a drunk - not good for Totally Tee lady like me!
