Everyone has gone off into hiding again! And where has the financial education petition gone????
Its grey and dreary here again but not cold -about 3 degrees and we dont have any wind at the mo. I have had to put the big rug in the washing machine due to flipping incontinent old dog and have no idea how long that will take to dry as its very damp feeling outside.
I see there is a 'dog potty' in the House of Bath cactalogue.
Turgin, I fear we may have been seperated at birth... I too have a daily struggle with my 2 elderly dogs and their bladders, so much so that I am contemplating another washing machine solely for them, I can't abide having to go throught the daily routine of putting their bedding in.... then wiping it all out.... then hoovering the drum for hairs.... then an extra rinse cycle with bleach... And sometimes this has to be done twice a day,Grrrr, I wouldn't mind, however sometimes they go out for a pee and then come in and pee in their bed because they don't want to get a wet bottom squatting . OK rant over!!
The reason for my post was because they had the EXACT same doggy potties in the poundl*nd shop here in Penzance a week or 2 ago... grrr wishing i got one now when I saw the £20 price tag in your link.
Turgin any advice re the incontinent dog would be great, but I fear I have exhausted all options.

:T I am feeling rather smug and proud of myself as, after years on MSE website, I have today figured out how to multi-quote :rotfl: Expect lots of multi-quotes from me now as I will have to show off :D

Anyway, YES! I am not too far from you (I don't think) and to me, the skies have looked very heavy with the white stuff!

Is def too warm but.... could it be snow up there (obviously much colder in the sky) but falling as rain by the time it gets here? :o Or is that stupid? :o

Right then.... Must be pyjama o'clock followed by beef stew and dumplings :D

:j lol so how do you do it??????

thats what i was thinking that it must be turning to rain lol maybe a good theory... perhaps someone scientific can inform us?

  • hey everyone, ive still not caught up yet!

is it just me who thinks the sky has been looking very snowy of late and i wondered if anyone has a forecast ? i cant find the link to the one that was suggested.

Yes I also mentioned this last week, or early this week(I can't remember)..... the sky has been very threatening on and off all week!
Maybe it's me kinda hoping for a little of the white stuff!

I read on here last year about insulating the space behind the bath panel. We didn't do this last year but DH complained about the bath water getting cold quickly when the heating isn't on. I suppose the water hits a cold surface and air so immediately cools down. Anyhow he popped into B&Q yesterday and picked up a couple of cylinder jackets think they cost £3 each and he has wrapped them round the bath, not sure if this will work but I'm proud that he has contributed to winter preparations. He also bought some screenwash, which I stocked up on a while ago (the extreme stuff) so no problem we will run out now lol.

Its ridiculously easy and yet took me years to figure it out.... so.... do I share my new found information or let you figure it out yourself? :D

OK I agree to share but everyone (thats you too, lurkers!) has to post this evening. This is my favourite thread and I want lots of interesting replies to read this evening :rotfl:

At the bottom of each post you have a thanks button, then next to it is quote, then and orange and pink speech bubble one, a pencil, report and then spam. As you read thru posts, click the orange and pink speech bubble one on each post you want to include on your reply. A tick will appear on it. Then, when you get to the end of the page, click "post reply" on the left side as normal and, low and behold, they all appear on your reply message!!!

    :T:T:T

(Hope someone scientific does, as you say, tell us... I am sure that was snow up there on those crazy heavy clouds!)

The reviews are terrible for the potty....., Oh and I love how they use a half pug for the advert, mine just happen to be pedigree pugs hahaha:rotfl:

    Not at all :D

In all honesty - I have been wanting to write a post like yours as people are drying washing in the house, via the central heating... and don't seem to realise that the water that evaporates has to go somewhere and hangs in the air making the room feel colder, and causing damp! Therefore you really need a couple of windows open!!!

I just couldn't be assed :rotfl:and you explained it perfectly :T

yes, same here. My washing is drying in the bathroom on a lakeland heated airer and I have had the window open all day, knowing that the moist air will trigger the ventilation system. I have closed the window now that the washing is nearly dry but the window vent is open.

Mould from damp is dangerous to health and the moisture must actually leave the room via something like a de humidifier
