Autumn Classes for Menat
Love it - just borrowed it for Facebook
Sorry but I can't remember who posted about the glasses for night time driving [glare of lights from oncoming traffic] I've just tried out the glasses that were recommended from Ebay - Fan-flippin-tastic!!!! It made driving in the dark so much easier - no squinting, thank you very much, well worth the £3 I paid

Thanks Helen, you've just reminded me of something I meant to ask when they were talked about, but forgot!:o
Does anyone know of anything you can get for people who already need to wear glasses to drive? (something to fit over them?)

hi everyone, love this thread
Has anybody tried using that plastic stuff you can get to put on windows to act as double glazing... if so, does it work to keep out draughts?? Would love to know. Thanks in advance!0 -
I went in Prim@rk today & got fleecy socks for DS2. They had lots in kids sizes for boys & girls. Don't know if they had men's sizes as DS1 said he didn't want any... of course when we got home, he said they would have been good . Picked up my fleecy trousers for work - not terribly flattering, but lovely & warm. Millets have a sale on at the moment so I got some scarves & another hat, scarf & mitten set for DS2 (aka, the one who loses stuff...)Winter Preparation Document

I miss Primark, I used to spend a small fortune there but got tons and tons of stuff! I don't have one now
I got her some numberjack socks today though which are suprisingly warm so might just use them - I don't want her to over heat, but she lies on the cold floor playing rather than the rug, she always has heat coming off her while I sit freezing - I think it's the constant running baout, maybe that is the secret, just run about daft all day ALL your winter problems sorted! :beer:1,2 & 5p: Christmas day food £9.31

Well, this time Homefront didn't just replace the control unit, they sent me a complete replacement heated throw! Full marks to them.
I reported the fault on Monday morning and the replacement had been left with a neighbour when I was at work yesterday (Tuesday). If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

Had a toasty night, and the house is bearable this morning, though only 16 degrees. Will get moving in a minute - being still is the worst.
bevhousehastings - I assume the Victorian house IS in Hastings? - we had two there (Milward Crescent and Clive Avenue), so know all about the winds off the sea and the draughts! Learnt a lot about draught excluding and insulating while we lived there. (Still useful here, where I live on top of a hill - can have snow up here while my daughter 15 mins walk away, but lower, does not!)
(Sorry, wrong thread - meant this for the "Is your heating on?" thread - but never mind, it's relevant here I think!)Keeping two cats and myself on a small budget, and enjoying life while we're at it!0
