Not sure if its been posted already but your OH should be entitled to £557.83 a month in maternity allowance if shes not getting SMP from employer plus an extra £122.92 every 4 weeks for childrens tax credit and child benefit so your income will be about £1980 :)

    Also get a dna test!

Thanks. Would the CSA take my partners income such as maternity pay and child tax credits etc into consideration if this other girl claims? If so it might be worth me having an agreement through the CSA with my current partner may be an option to protect ua for the future?

As for a DNA test. I attempted but they refused to contribute as they 'already had one' which I find unfair to be honest because I don't trust her so I don't think that is fair.

    Thanks for the help!

Your partner's income won't be taken into account. The tax credits are classed as a household income, therefore that would be classed as your income.

You can't have a case with your current partner, because you are still a couple...and your new child hasn't been born yet!

Thanks. When the child is born obviously a lot will change.

When the child is born your tax credits will probably go up. You will still not be able to have a case with your current partner though as, like Prelude said, you are a couple.

  • the only way to have a case through CSA with your current partner would be to lie and say you are separated. way too complicated especially seeing as they are going to be charging soon to use them so you an your partner will both be worse off paying for a service that isnt needed.
  • duty it's true, you are a mat ;)

OP honestly, my granny was a spiritualist ... please don't believe your "readings" it's a fast route to a load of bad decisions.

BTW you do realise you won't get child tax credits or child benefit until the child is actually born?

Of course. TBH im yet to look into all this. I wont lie to the government. I'm honest.

How do tax credits and whatever I'm entitled to work?

    Thanks
