Hmmm, think that was the one about shoving the little wooden beads along the wire, counting as I went.

No, you've just posted the wrong CCleaner log. :) Back to the instructions.

Without a toolbar, I no longer see Tools sitting anywhere helpfully - how do I find it now, in order to complete the log file and copy it here please?
    ################
I am left-handed, so have swapped mouse functions over.

TT - I am trying to comply with your post33, hence the 1st part above.

I find no Tools access anywhere. Also, I am having to find other ways of doing normal things i.e. I see there is Reload, as a left click function on mouse and have found that performs the Refresh I miss from my toolbar. Text file was not as/where you said, but I found another way of doing that, too.

Have I really posted wrong log, or are you teasing because of my abacus sillies?

Also, should I get rid of that ARO211 thing, that I used, believing it to be the Malware prog?

I am now going to Add/Remove Progs, in order to do this{but will hold on a few minutes, for you to say if I am wrong]

If it is the file, edit menu etc at the top of the browser, over on the right, just under the google (or similar) search box, right click and look to tick menu bar

I don't know how how many unnecessary toolbars you've got in your system (I can see Yahoo and Google ones loaded for starters), and that tells a story in itself. There seems to be a fair bit of (what I would consider) junk programs on your computer

Before you do anything else you need to ascertain whether there are any viruses on your hard drive. Forget Trend Micro hijack. Using Internet Explorer go to Symantec Virus Detection and run it. That will give you a straightforward yay or nay whether your drive is infected. I wpould also download and run Microsoft's Malicious Software Removal Tool, and run a full scan with it. This test takes much longer (well over an hour). If both tests give a negative then at least you know you're virus free.

I'm sorry everybody, but even here I am tentative.
    My screen looks like this:
Top is a row of blue tags like those in a suspended file drawer. Every time I click around this Thread, or anywhere, another one is added. Only the current one shows on a white b/g tag.
Next line- white with, from left, b/w and f/w arrows, a reload arrow circle, ahomepage house ikon, a search window for text with a star to bookmark the page,a spanner[which says 'control and customise google chrome].
SURELY I SHOULD BE ABLE TO FIND TOOLS HERE?
Third line - Folder Imported from IE, folder Imported from IEp1]. Search from ikon, hotmail ikon.

This is all. They sit partially overlapping the head of this present mse page.
