I won't buy anything, because I'm also aware that Martin and others have said over the years that there is no need.

No, santer - I googled 'antimalware free download' and used their own prog.
Was this wrong?

santer - I am sorry, but I do not know which bit to hit. Is it the PC repair on the left, the headline band above , or the righthand side Download latest version 9.4MB? I am scared of hitting wrong things, which is why I went hunting on google.

Hopefully Malwarebytes is running now, in future, with File Hippo, download the latest version is almost always the link to click, otherwise, the poster may have picked a different version and the link would be in the same place with a download this version link
