Just catching up - you are doing well LG.

If you have a Tesco Clubcard, you can check on their website to see if you are owed any vouchers - I found that I had £30 worth sitting there which I have now printed off and they will be used to buy treats.

Yuk yuk yuk... I don't envy you. Our finance (what's left of them) and sales departments all seem to have an awful time of it at this time of the month. Maybe you don't mind, maybe being in a finance role its like your 'time to shine' but nothing stresses me out worse than a deadline!

Good work on the eBay dress. Your annual company Christmas do is certainly an occasion to get dressed up so its great you are able to do it in a thrifty manner with bargains, and still feel like you've got a new outfit and hair colour.

Did you watch XF? I don't normally unless its on because someone else is watching it. I think that Janet was sweet but glad she's gone. She was a one-trick pony, her voice irritated me and she was too young. Bless her. :)

In my old job it was horrendous and hated it, in this one its actually OK. I needed to come in and make corrections to the work our grad has been doing otherwise I would have come in at normal time. Our grad causes us more trouble that what she is worth, been here long enough now and I have to explain the same things every month. If she doesnt get something, she won't ask and just makes it up so now I waste so much time checking everything.

Thanks! Yeah I just hope it fits when it gets here!!!

Yeah I have been tuning in if i am at home, I thought she was sweet too but she is being outshined by the others now so I thought it was her time to go too... I love Marcus and Little Mix!

  • Hi all,

Hope everyones Monday is OK. Today should be a NSD as no plans to spend anything. Weekend was good and feel nicely recovered from the exams now.

Yesterdays lunch went well and even had enough left over to freeze 6 portions for meals.

As long as I stick within budget on social and xmas items I should be able to pay a little extra off the cards but I'll wait till end of month first to make sure I havent forgotten anything

Hi, I hope you don't mind me jumping in,been reading your diary and its great, you're doing fantastically living on £10 a day aswell as still having a social life. I am really bad with money and in a bit of debt aswell. Trying to clear it but its hard saying no when asked to go out.

Ive not even been paid yet but when i do I only have £10 a day to spend, hoping not to spend all of that though so i can pay extra off the cc. Anyways I'm rambling. Just wanted to say hi and to let you know i will be following this thread!

    Well done LondonGirl xxx

Hey nice to see some other Scottish folk on here, i'm from a little east coast town known for Smokies! Which I hate!

I don't know how i'm going to manage on £10 a day, esp this month with xmas presents and nights out to account for!

Least I know i'm in safe hands, looking forward to reading the rest of London Girls diary, she is an inspiration! :)

Not surprised..... Know exactly where you are. I'm about 45 minutes on the train from there...So let me know when you're having a bad day and I can pop down (preferably a monday/thursday/Saturday as the rest of my week is currently busy).

Xmas presents there's a thread on here for home made stuff. Don't know any decent craft stores your area Sx - sorry ...maybe try that place beginning with Slum ***** LOL. Or St. Andrews? (always get a new purse from St. A's - charity shops are to die for :D). Slum **** is pretty cheap :). Cheaper than here...Go on yellow pages :) I know there was this really good idea last year about getting a photo frame and taking the stuff out then putting like a chunk of choc or something in with the words 'break glass in emergency' or whatever......behind it and then putting it all back together :T. People like homemade pressies :)

So if you have the time try that? If you have to cut back on cards don't worry..

Can't help with boozy nights out sorry :(
