Au up duck! haha yes "our kid" is a midlands favourite! love it!

Lovely weekend thank you, got up this am and went for a run - a bit pathetic effort really but its something to improve upon!

Lunch went well, kids were as entertained as they could be! haha but everyone loved my food and I have ended up in profit by 2 bottles of really nice wine! Really nice to see my friends and FINALLY feel relaxed after exam week

NSD day today which means I have met Novembers target of 10!

I bought a dress from ebay last night which I want to wear to my work xmas party which is black tie, it was from ebay and £28.98 inc postage I hope it fits well! So that has come from my grandmas xmas money leaving me £20 to spend on myself which I will spend on make-up and hair dye

Tomorrow Im going to work early to get cracking on month end

Tuesday I'm going to a friends for dinner - roast pheasant which he shot this weekend - erm....

Saturday brings a trip to Twickenham for a Help for Heroes rugby match - tickets paid for so NSD's this week will determine how much spending ££ I have!!

He needs to hang it for longer than that - or do you not like the "gamey" taste?

I seem to always catch up on this diary each weekend, glad to see all is going well. I discovered something that will save me some cash in future and I hope that you can use this idea too.....asian food shops sell things like herbs and spices for a fraction of the supermarkets. I needed some mace for my soup and my local supermarkets were not selling the real thing so looked at bigger fairly local stores and they wanted £3 for a tiny jar, went to a shop in Bradford and got a huge bag for 99p,it will last at least a year also while in there I saw garlic and coriander much cheaper than the supermarkets, onions and potatoes were a huge sack for what the supermarkets charge for a small bag, I know London is dearer but I bet you can save a few quid a month especially if you join with flatmates and friends.

To be honest I have no idea about these things! I will quiz him on Tuesday! I haven't eaten pheasant before so hoping I like it!

    Hey,

Thanks I think even in London they will be cheaper, we have lots of asian shops in the next suburb so will definitely have a look there next time before over spending in the supermarket. Thanks!

Yuk yuk yuk... I don't envy you. Our finance (what's left of them) and sales departments all seem to have an awful time of it at this time of the month. Maybe you don't mind, maybe being in a finance role its like your 'time to shine' but nothing stresses me out worse than a deadline!

Good work on the eBay dress. Your annual company Christmas do is certainly an occasion to get dressed up so its great you are able to do it in a thrifty manner with bargains, and still feel like you've got a new outfit and hair colour.

Did you watch XF? I don't normally unless its on because someone else is watching it. I think that Janet was sweet but glad she's gone. She was a one-trick pony, her voice irritated me and she was too young. Bless her. :)

Yeah I have a few locally too :j...

Get various things from there like white vinegar (about £3 for 5 litres)...Bicarb (about the same for a 3kg bag - lasts about 6 months) and also garlic powder, lentils; rice that sort of thing...

    Very economical :D

Hope you are well...got up at 5 for workmen (new security which is pointless as like the back door is permanently open right now) and they haven't arrived yet. Due any time this am. Phoned the s* council who had no idea. Friend came looking for a sweeper and she said there was a note on the door of someone. Though knowing the council they will put me last on the list due to my disability :(. They did that with the kitchen and bathroom refit and I had to really hassle  Almost didn't get it...
