Hi LG, i'm sorry to hear about your carp day, we all have these every now and then
!
I also had this happen to me (re the phone not boss) ......i dropped it in a glass of water one night after checking the time in the middle of the night.........didn't realise until about 8 hours later! I tried the rice thing and it did work, well long enough for me to get the pics, numbers off etc and then i dropped it and smashed it, that phone clearly wasn't set to be mine!!

Yeah but a run is better than the gym remember? I had a lie in (with the extra pills I took for the caffeine whoopsie) till like 9.15 so it was mad panic for church
Just home from the old folks service (after the main service in the sheltered housing complex) and whacked and lousy cos I missed lunch...
Fear the dieting demons coming back when I was doing so well....

Another tip for the phone is to put it in an airtight (ie ziplock) bag with as many of those little sachets of silica that you get in the packaging for electronic goods that you can get your hands on.
Also concur with everyone else's advice, ie wait as long as possible before switching it on etc. Good luck! Hope you can sort a decent enough replacement handset.
I know it might be too late for this advice now, but if you make sure your phone is synced with something like Outlook or Outlook Express on your PC, or maybe Balckberry has some software for it?
I'm not a blackberry user, favouring that other practically unknown brand of smartphone that is the name of a piece of fruitbut on that, my contacts and calendar are actually just looking at my GMail account. That way, if the phone died, I'd still have all my data. Also it means I can manage my calendar and email from my PC as well. Is this a possibility with blackberries?
