  • Happy Friday Everyone!

Lovely ride this morning and been running at lunch so plenty of exercise and not a penny spent! Looking forward to next Tuesday when I get paid again and I can compare this month to last (hint: its a LOT healthier finance wise!!)
The £10 a day budget has really worked and this is the first month I haven't touched credit or been scraping the pennies to get me through. Payday from now on will merely will the day I jiggle money around NOT the day I can go to the shops and blow a load!

Can't wait to see if next month I can get my debt below the £11k mark. It will be a challenge but one I'm prepared to tackle!

    This weekend is as follows:

Tonight: Leave work at 5, go home, study, eat dinner from freezer. Look up new recipe to batch cook this weekend and write shopping list

Sat am: Riding first thing and will probably stay for a few hours to help out with grooming, feeding etc. Go to supermarket on way home and buy ingredients for above meals. Possibly paying with nectar card if i go to Sainsburys
    Pm: Cook
    Study
    Run possibly

    Sun: RWC FINAL!!!!!!!

Study and run if i didnt on Saturday. Look at loan and c card agreements to see if I have paid any of this PPI that I shouldnt have.

Quite looking forward to a weekend with no big plans, i like being able to get on top of cleaning, cooking, admin etc

Did you ever take out a loan to pay off an old loan and get a little bit more on top to either spend or perhaps pay off a card?

The reason I ask is that if you did, I *think* they re-evaluate every subsequent loan you had even if it didn't have PPI, because the loan would have been less if you didn't have it on the earlier loan/s that you are paying out. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that's what happened for me.

Got a new challenge for you - Don't got to Waitrose this weekend (or ever)! :)

I have a WR basically across the road from my flat, but the liddle is a bit further and a very interesting shopping experience. Take your bags with you if you don't already! Its saved me money that's for sure.

  • I don't think I have a Liddle within any sort of travelling distance which is a shame... In the order closest to me.... WR. SB. TSC. ASD... ASD is actually v hard to get to and would cost me more than the amount I'd save...

Nice evening tonight. just got in having had a swift couple in the pub, not my turn to pay tonight so a NSD for me!! And todays £10 went in the budget bag for presents to kick start that fund!

Got my favourite horse to ride tomorrow so looking forward to that, then the weekend is mine!

  • Hi all,

Time for a proper post now! Had a LOVELY ride this morning, the sun came up over the park as we left the yard and it was gorgeous! Horses all well behaved for once so chance for a good gossip with the girls!

Got back and had a snooze before setting on some washing and a nice trip to Sainsburys - Not waitrose TJ!!! - bought a bunch of veg and some cous cous. Used nectar card points against the bulk of the bill so have only spend £65p so far!

Just had some lunch with the cous cous and have a big veggie soup in the slow cooker which will take up more freezer space!

Now time to stop procrastinating and do some revision! - GAH!

  • Morning...

    A tad hungover...

But spent practically nothing! Less than £6, not sure how that happened at all but I'm not complaining! Met a really nice guy last night, chatted for hours swapped numbers and argued who had to call who on Monday... not sure why Monday... not sure who is supposed to call who.... hope he calls me!!!

Today could easily be NSD and really want it to be but don't want to be stuck inside all day. Will study later and have plenty of food, ah thinking about it I need to pop to the pound shop to buy some freezable containers, a pounds spend would be fine and I could take it from the pound pot rather than break into my tenner.
Once I can bring myself to get dressed I'll do that

Sooo pleased the All Blacks won the RWC though it was close!!

    Have a nice Sunday all....
