URGH Laptop is getting worse and worse, the internet isn't too bad but using word or excel takes forever and it crashes constantly. Just spoke to Dad and he's going to look up newer ones for me as this one is four years old so its no surprise it's going downhill but I'm just worried about being able to practise for my exam as its on a PC this time and I need to practise the past papers on a PC or I might struggle in the exam.
Dad said they don't mind helping me out with the money and I can pay them back but that just means I have that to pay back the next few months. ARGH. I had enough saved up a few months ago and spent it all on study leave... it would have been so nice if I could have actually saved up for something once in my life! Ah well, its a reasonably priced one and I can pay them back quickly will just mean I slow down paying off the credit cards for a couple of months.
Just realised I havent spent anything todaydah dah... NSD no 3!

Hi LG,
It's still good that you're now at the stage where you'd saved money and then spent it earlier than expected on your future, rather than a few nights out. That's still great. The extra loan is, again, for your future. It's an investment rather than a loan? That's how I see it anyway. Once you're newly qualified with a whacking pay rise you'll be glad you did it!
How has your day been? x0 -
This seems good http://www.ebuyer.com/351622-asus-x53z-laptop-x53z-sx066v
The people at hotukdeals.com seem to like it medium to medium-hot http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/asus-x53z-quad-core-laptop-was-398-now-339-delivered-ebuyer-1257640
You (possibly) can get 1-2% quidco at ebuyer. I've used them lots no problem (got DD1 her iPad from there).
I never owned an Asus - but people whose judgement on this I respect have got them
EDIT - I think there is a cheap laptop thread on here somewhere. You could go have a peek at thatI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

If you're not too attached to anything on your latop, have you considered resetting to factory settings. You'll often find that it's the extra bits of software you don't really need and have forgotten about that clog it up.
Most laptops have a key combination that starts the reset if you press it while starting up. Acer ones are F10 (or were the last time I used this). It's a drastic step, but if it works you'll be cheaper and no worse off than a new laptop would be anyway!

Now Dad's ordered me one, when I remove everything off my old one I will do this and maybe I can sell it and be brutally honest about its history...Santander 0% £1,529.94

Having a good day today
So far spent no dollar and plan not to, so hopefully NSD no4 en route!
Went for a lovely ride this morning, had one of my favorite horses and rode out with 4 others, if you had of been in the park at 7:30am this am you would have seen the 5 of us at a fast canter up the horse track... I felt like I had wings, mornings like that it is worth the early start!
Been for a run also at lunch and managed 4k only stopping at traffic lights so pretty pleased with that. There is a 10k run organised by a city firm for city peeps in Regents Park in Sept a month before my half marathon, it only requires a small donation to charity to enter so me and the others doing the half marathon have signed up for this too, it should be a good prep run for the half! Going to try to run 4 miles on friday and start building up distance each week.
Can't wait to pick up my shiny new laptopSantander 0% £1,529.94
