I don't visit your diary for a few days and I come back to find that you have gotten up to mischief:rotfl: Congratulations on the exam passes, I am thrilled for you:T:beer::j Fab news about the eye candy too especially one that pays his way - I too went out with someone who rapidly went through my cash and then when I discovered he was a lying, cheating !!!!!! I ditched him because he had moved onto another mug who no doubt was paying for everything.
I am settling in slowly and have had a few windfalls - my hospital saturday fund paid me £93 for my glasses (I had paid the eye hospital £187 for 2 pairs of specs) and today I received a refund cheque from Scottish Power to the tune of £44.13:cool: I need to find my credit union passbook and pay the cheque into there (I need to change my address with them too).
One of the places I used to go with London twerp (yes ex bf lived there) was Namco Station on the Southbank not far from the London Eye, I know it was the kind of place that you could spend if you were so minded but I used to like the dodgems as they cost 50p. I also liked the discounted theatre tickets that I used to get from that big round booth on Leicester Square, mind you I have seen some wierd shows and sometimes I would get free tickets as London twerp would get them as he was a civil servant although I think they have now stopped that little perk. The best show was The Rat Pack the worst was probably Bat Boy the Musical or the even wierder one at a theatre behind a pub where it was two people on stage talking about their life and it took an age to realise that they were supposed to be dead.
Meals wise we used to go to the Texas Embassy which is behind Trafalgar Square, El Chicos in Streatham (this is a mexican place where the food is relatively cheap and it has a great atmosphere) and sometimes we would go to various portugese restaurants in Stockwell where the food was relatively plain if a little bit wierd.
Hi Horace!
Haha I'm always up to mischeif in some waythanks so much for your congrats, really nice to have so many lovely messages!
Brilliant news on the windfalls and glad you're settling in. Thanks for all the nice London ideas I'll definitley bear them in mind!Santander 0% £1,529.94

Well, I'd better give the weekend low down!
Went out with D on Friday, met at the bowling place and had a brilliant time doing that. I got 2 strikes he got 5! hehe he said my technique was awful but he'd never seen a girl throw the ball with so much power! LOL
Then went on to the coolest cocktail bar... get this... we walk into a normal looking pub, small and very busy. He walks over to a guy with a clipboard and asks if he has a table for two. The man looks me up and down (not at all subtly!) and says "follow me" walks over to a wardrobe (think Lion witch and wardrobe style) opens the door and walks us into an extremely smart bar! I was so impressed but then he walks into a corner and takes us through a curtain into the members bar. It was so quaint and cosy, about 20 people max and they had a cocktail mixologist who conjoured up some delish cocktails! We had a lovely time he wouldn't let me pay for a thing other than a drink at the local on the way home before we went our separate ways, so sweet!
Saturday, went with my friend S to the polo, she drove (I need to send her some ££ for this) it was so wet and muddy but still good fun and got some good pics, we then drove up to her parents in the country side, they have the most beautiful house in the middle of nowhere and spent the weekend being fed well and playing with their horses and dogs. Bliss. I took her mum some flowers and wine to say thanks.
Last night, D called me and asked if I wanted to go for a drink so we went to the local and had a nice time but he told me something quite big which means its probably not a good idea for us to see each other anymore. He's technically married but separated but its a bit hazy about if they are properly split up or not. He said he told me because he hadn't met anyone since "the split" that he cared about but he didnt want to lead me on but he likes me and its a difficult situation. I'm a bit sad about it all but better I know now and not 6 months down the line when I've fallen hook, line and sinker. We left it a bit up in the air so I don't know if he'll call or not but I won't call him Ive decided.
Anyway, onwards and upwards
Been accepted onto the final exam :j so 29th August is the big day and college starts a week on saturday. Theres two parts to finishing the qualification. This exam and proving I have 3 years relevant practical professional experience. So I'm going to try and get my evidence together for the experience so I can submit that before college starts and then I can just worry about one bit of it.
I need to pay £149 for this upfront but work will re-imburse, it'll have to go on the one credit card I left open and when work pay me back I'll pay it off
I've no money really until payday apart from all my change I counted so quiets nights in doing my experience work will be welcome!
Feeling meh, had such a lovely weekend but that conversation with D put such a downer on it. Going to get some lunch and cheer myself up! Chocolate anyone?????? :rotfl:Santander 0% £1,529.94

Good to here you seem to have had a fab (and frugal) weekend :j
Re: D, I'd try not to be sad about it, but rather think about what a fabby time you had with him this weekend and before
Just think, if you had known this before, you would never have gone out with him, and had all those yummy, tres exclusive drinks at his expense.

Chocolate it is - and a large hot choc too with cream and marshmallows if that's any help.
What a shame about D. As you say, much better to know now rather than later though it would have been easier if you knew from the start. I suppose this is relatively near the start.
The polo day sounds amazing (if muddy): how lovely to have a day in the country with horses and dogs.
And August 29th!!! Well, we will all be cheering you on!Miggy
