Not had much luck recently, was in the one you mentioned last week and nothing and that was me looking for phones, well the SEL anyway.
Suppose it's just your luck on the day.
Only 1 scanner in St R0ll0x aisle 16 i think beers and wines.
M@ryhill 2 scanners clothes and beers
Good luck and can you pm me if you find anything decent cheers
and no b4 anyone starts i mean pm about sel and decent gliches in Glasgow don't mean i won't it left out the thread as you are all such a nice bunch :j0 -
Hello all
Update from Tesco H3x4am
Finally they have the 1p toystory gift bags wayhey:j:j
There are loads left as I only bought 1 - in middle of very messy house move and oh will kill me if I buy anything else I don't need right now!
They also have the deodorant 150ml size sel £2.xx but going through at £1 and bogof.
Plenty of the Harrys cashew nuts too 26p I think
And last but not least they have the Neutradol car deodorizer for 50p.
Still no impulse though!
Checked through all the mens and ladies shoes but no 4p bargains.
HTH someone, I never know if I'm the only MSE-er there. In the DTD days the checkout operators were always saying that no one else came in with vouchers but I'm sure there must have been as it's the only T for about 20 miles.0 -
I find that by shopping around and at the right time, I never pay full price for anything. It's either BOGOF or whoopsied
I buy all our cd's or dvd's from Amazon 2nd hand... and hate paying more than a penny plus postage!
I buy all clothes in the sale, check for the cheapest insurance, telephone deals, gas and electric when they are up for renewal etc. etc.
I love a bargain and must save hundreds if not thousands a year just by shopping around.
Just one warning.....Once you start you'll become addicted
and another thing - if I'm buying online I always use a cashback website where possible, especially for insurance - have had a couple of hundred pounds back from using these for things I would have been buying anyway. MSE has an article on them on the main site0 -

I have been waiting 5 weeks for sky to fit my phone TV and broadband, I've been with them 10 years.
After numerous calls, they keep telling me there is an error on their system, I got totally fed up today and told them to forget it.
At this point they said they'd set me up as a new customer, I said no thanks as I knew I'd get a better deal signing myself up as a new customer via quidco.
They told me I can't do this, as it would be on the system that I had requested sky here even if it wasn't in my name.
Why is it they can call me a new customer but I wont benefit from it ?
My DD has had no "proper" Internet for her school work, I've been unable to view my PTA agendas and minutes, I've had to buy extra data allowance on my phone and have gone well over my mobile phone mins allowance chasing them up, I also have to sign a new 12m contract and won't get my long term benefits such as the half price 6 months TV deal I had (expires jan) on top of that they want me to pay the £40 new customer fee, just because their system has an error and they've messed my account (up to date payment wise)
Do you think I have reason enough to complain to HO and if so do you think it will get me anywhere, I'm so annoyed, they continually break their promises to keep me updated too.
Sorry for the essay, need to vent ha ha !!
And you lot are so wise in these matters
Do I have enough reason
They will possibly offer you a better package for the same price, or a reduction on what you were paying. This is what I got when I phoned to cancel my BT package.....suddenly dropped from £30 odd to £16 per month including line rental. We don't have the TV package but I've got unlimited broadband and all inclusive phone callsMy husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.0 -

There should be some more Gola boxer shorts in with the normal mens ones as we left some. Also if you go the clearance bit of underwear nr the tills, there were more boxers there. In the clearance part of the kids clothes, the sales bit, we found the rugby caps and trackies, and the kids t shirts as well (not as good a deal but cute). We (mainly I whilst friend wandered around looking embaressed lol), just scanned anything that wasnt on an AW11 barcode. Was really chuffed with the jeans and trackies, to be honest.
Didnt get bothered by an SA at all, most just watched bemused, but i did self scan downstairs
Isnt your store huge!!! It was good oing to a new store, but i felt well disorientated.
Pm me if you want any more details hunni xx
yeah the store is massive to be honest i get annoyed with it because its just too big, and they never have what i want, like the baby bouncer altho they had a few different brands just not the one i wanted.
they have also moved the reduced bit for anyone who is a regular there, it used to be on the back wall with what used to be the chrisps but now there is a small one on the isle that has all the baking stuff, ohh and the fridge stuff reduced bit seems to have magicly turned rubbish, unless someone got there before me. usually there good for yogurts and salmon, there is only me that eats it so i usually get it reduced but there wasnt any at all.
if i remember int he morning il pm you, thanks hun
right bedtime for me, i didnt get my sleep this afternoon and now have got heartburn and feel sick0 -

Hello can you help a newbie please
I am addicted to reading this thread and am a bit confused. we have a little blue scanner in one of our tescos but not the others is that what you use? or do you just try when you hear of something and return it if not? I was very excited the other night and went to look around our clothing section to find it empty (literally) as they are updating but I was so upset!
Determined to do better0 -
No large signs up in mine, although was walking, couldnt have carried 4 packs back anyway, but I did note that the SEL's stated, say £8, and also stated the offer of 4 packs for £25.
So I think if yours also stated that on the SEL's, you'd get DTD despite there being no large signs.
No the SEL was just a plain white one that said £10.Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times and I'll smash your face in.0 -

Not with sky (virgin) but i don't see any harm in sending an email with all correspondense you still have since all this started included.
ie scan all paperwork and attach (if you can)
Try and speak to CS and see if they are any better if you get nowhere with the email, though if they value your custom as the claim to all customers i would think they will get back to you ASAP.
In my own experience with virgin my OH calls up all the time when we see an offer for new customers but not existing, that really winds me up, been with them for years. They allways say no untill you ask to be put through to CS and then threaten to leave, then it's oh i think i can help this time after all we do value you as a customer b0lloks. Just got the tivo box last week doing this after they wanted £99 for box and install, while on the phone also said i would like the V+ box moved upstairs to one of the kid's rooms got it all for nothing just have to give it to them tight and DON'T take any crap.
Good luck
PS. you might be better with virgin if available in your area. :money:0 -

Ohhhh I wonder if they meant me n my mate??? lmao. OOops. Didnt take advantage, well, got about 9 things, but got other shopping too, so they did ok. And the clothes dept didnt even see my scanning, so not sure they realised they were 4p
Am wondering if we're on about the same store tho? B*rnley spelt *urnley? lol. Theres a self scan on the clothing dept, next to the little circle bit that has the womens shoes? opposite the ladies hats.
Anpother DTD opportunity, on the £7 party dress stand, theres some cute burgindy red chiffony dress for newborn, but they scan at £10? Might be worth a dabble
HTH xx0
