Back without any Speckled Hen. There was plenty on the shelf, but no signs that said it was 4 for £25.

No large signs up in mine, although was walking, couldnt have carried 4 packs back anyway, but I did note that the SEL's stated, say £8, and also stated the offer of 4 packs for £25.

So I think if yours also stated that on the SEL's, you'd get DTD despite there being no large signs.

Anyway just back from T's and what a result I now have my own personal scanners!!!! Went to the electrical desk and asked them to price check pyjamas, and boxers, SA stood their amazed and said they are 4p where did you get them from? So I took him over and showed him and said to him why don't you get some. He did and said is their anything else? so I said yes I'm looking for a few other things and brazenly showed him my photocopied list. He said I know where these and these are and led me to the other boxers and skull bottoms. He picked some for himself and I got 12 bits. By then his friend SA had come over and got himself some stuff. They said how did you know are you from "That website":rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I confessed and they said do you want to pay here at the electrical desk and I said Yes please:T:T:T and they took the security tags off the pyjamas for me and said will you come back next Wednesday and we'll scan them for you and serve you:T:T:T we're here till 8pm. How could I say no, my own personal scanners as long as I share the deals:rotfl::rotfl:This was a different T's to where I normally go and obviously can't give any clues as to where it was;) don't want to get my little scanners into trouble!
So I got 6 pairs of "scored" pyjamas, 3 pairs of playboy boxers, 1 pair skull bottoms and 2 pairs of stripy boxers.
Then went and found 2 Lindam bedguards SEL £24.60 went through at 60p each and 3 Finest Chocolate tortes 75p each.
    What a fab night;)

Here you go looby...thanks to Dancecrazy!!:T
had a good trip to tesco this afternoon, found some toy story gift bags at long last ! scanned them and they scanned at 1p but also noticed some of them had new sticker barcodes stuck over the back of the original barcodes and these scanned at £2.xx

got a pair of the mens slippers that scan at 4p and a few packs of the thick grey wool type walking socks that have the rugby logo on them

and i think these are a new find firstly, mens slip on black leather shoes priced at £25 black label that says AIRTREND they are AW 10
slightly pointed toe in a mocasin style with a tan coloured sole on the inside the barcode is 5052004801263 i think the barcode differs slightly depending on the size

    DSC00377.jpg

ladies black shoes priced at £12 round toe chunky 2 inch heel, strap which fastens with a square silver buckle, pewter colour sole on the inside, barcode 5052319702552, SS 11 , again i think the barcodes could differ slightly with different sizes

    happy hunting :D

  • omg nooooooooooo how did you find all those things i was in the clothing bit upstairs and the woman went all psychoshopassistant on me telling me the good 4p stuff has gone and i acted all inocent.. baby stuff too omg i think i have to go back tomorow now.

im still looking for the baby bouncer that was on here the other day they didnt have it in our store.

thanks everyone for the advice, i am now on the ball and feeling a little less hormonal. the budget is in the process of being done and hopefully over the next few weeks there are some really cheap christmas stuff.

What time were you there? We got there about 10.30, and were in there 3 hours or summat daft, so we worked for the bargains lol. There should be some more Gola boxer shorts in with the normal mens ones as we left some. Also if you go the clearance bit of underwear nr the tills, there were more boxers there. In the clearance part of the kids clothes, the sales bit, we found the rugby caps and trackies, and the kids t shirts as well (not as good a deal but cute). We (mainly I whilst friend wandered around looking embaressed lol), just scanned anything that wasnt on an AW11 barcode. Was really chuffed with the jeans and trackies, to be honest.

Didnt get bothered by an SA at all, most just watched bemused, but i did self scan downstairs

Isnt your store huge!!! It was good oing to a new store, but i felt well disorientated.

Pm me if you want any more details hunni xx

My daughter was home from uni for a couple of days last week and went to the freezer to get something out for dinner.
"My god mum..... there isn't anything without a yellow reduced sticker on it!"
I find that by shopping around and at the right time, I never pay full price for anything. It's either BOGOF or whoopsied. I know that the initial outlay might be more, but once you've got a good stash of all the offers, you'll be amazed at how much you save on your average weekly shopping bill. Today for instance I bought 8 packs of Walls sausages reduced to 39p, 4 pizzas reduced to 49p, 3 punnets of grapes 39p each.
I was disappointed there were no chickens reduced in the Co-op (nicest chickens apart from M&S IMO) so instead of buying 1 for £4 I bought 3 for £10 and made sure I checked the cooking times on the labels as it can differ by as much as 20 minutes. The ones I got today all took 1hr 55 minutes so are obviously much bigger chickens than the the ones that cook in an hour and a half.
I buy all our cd's or dvd's from Amazon 2nd hand... and hate paying more than a penny plus postage!
I buy all clothes in the sale, check for the cheapest insurance, telephone deals, gas and electric when they are up for renewal etc. etc.
I love a bargain and must save hundreds if not thousands a year just by shopping around.
Just one warning.....Once you start you'll become addicted :D

I can relate to that, I think the only thing without a yellow sticker on in my freecycle freezer is a Goodfellas pizza I got for free with the voucher posted on here. Oh and some pork mince. ;)

Agree about being addicted, I'm not sure I really needed more baked beans today but bought 3 packs just in case and parting with the £2 was not a problem, I guess I mean I have the money to do it. I tend to buy an offer because you never know when the next one might be but it does seem to work out ok.

Another warning, you do need to have some spare room to stock pile, I think everyone would agree on that one. :)

Had quite a good experience with CS at tesco direct over the phone today !!!
On monday tried to order the boys £7 outfit (my store didnt stock it to take advantage of the earlier glitch !)
I found a lovely blue shirt with tie and waistcoat that had the £7 outfit deal banner across it ,was priced at £17.50 on its own !! then had a bit of a nightmare looking for the jeans as none of them had a outfit banner on ?!?!
Vaguely remembered on here that they were priced at £7 so tried a couple of pairs but discount still didnt come off at the checkout .
Was getting quite stressed at this point cos really wanted the outfit for sons xmas day clothes so thought ill just pay full price - £24.50
Afterwards ,i had second thoughts ,and thought id just return for a refund.
Anyhow got confirmation today to go and pick up .so i thought id phone CS to see if they could do anything or refund at least over the phone .
Lovely lady , though it took a while to sort ,she asked which items etc. then went to talk to her manager , came back and said it was a shirt or jumper that should have been included in offer but as my shirt was clearly displayed with £7 outfit banner on website ,they would honor the deal and was very sorry !! got a refund for the difference and sons xmas day oufit sorted -shirt ,waistcoat ,tie and jeans - all for £7 !!

Just seen that the £7 offer is on till sunday 6th online - i thought it had finished !!
I will see what the fit of the jeans is when i collect in store tomorrow ,(my son is really skinny !!) then im tempted to get another set for him to wear new years eve !(different shirt !)

click on offers across top (boys £7 outfit). The shirt set i got is the 2nd one on page , still got banner across , theyve also put jeans on offer on same page which makes it easier . HTH

Stick with us, it takes a little while but I guarantee we will half your shopping bill, and as others have said whoopsies are fab, tonight we had 3 packs of roast potatoes for dinner 2p a pack, carrot & swede mashed 8p, homemade chicken pie with whoopsied chicken and made from jusroll pastry 62p. Their was enough pastry left over to make a batch of sausage rolls with a pack of 20p sausages:T:T And I was the M&S food queen till last year so if I can do it anyone can and to be honest we all eat far healthier now, apart from the choccie glitches:rotfl::rotfl:
