Well my friend took me to Burnl*y Tesco big store for a day out and a distraction, and My, was it a distraction
***Huge DTD ALERT****
Dj Hero 2 bundle for wii, 2 SEL, one saying 79.99, one saying 19.99, they tried charging 79.99 to friend, but she argued it, they went away, spoke to manager etc, honoured the 19.99. I was going puce, trying to mutter pay the 80, get DTD, but too late. However, just check your stores!!!
Erm, also found:-
Pair mens jeans for 4p
Gola trunks, sealed in a wierd silver packet, 4p, both black and white
playboy trunks 4p
Boys Trackie Pants with England Rugby printed on top corner, 4p
various boxers 4p
Angry birds t short, reduced to 3.50
Lego Harry potter tshirt 2.50
Disney Cars baby bodysuit £2 ish
Rugby 2011 caps 4p
The Nivea Deodourants, i know theyre BOGOF and £1 each, HOWEVER, the bigger size ones are 1.54 ish, and BOGOF, so more for your money. got 4, loads left
Think that was it, we then went Sports Direct but theres better deals online, and its free delivery till tonight, and some gorgeous hats, like Panda ones etc. Also, nipped to sainsburys where still an aisles worth pf half price toys, but didnt pick any up. Ohhh, also got some cute monkey boxers saying 'nibble my nuts', and pair of playboy, play dirty boxers to send to OH, along with some reduced Nivea cooling shaving sensation man stuff reduced from 6 ish to 1.47.
Still no ruddy casserole dishes, or knives. Used SS tills for clothes, thankfully, the SA was having a gossip, then wandered away (Ive never scanned as quick in my life!!). She didnt notice any of them, but as we were walking to the escalaters, security tag went off, mymate had left it on a ruddy toothbrush, had visions of being trouted, but all went off fine
omg nooooooooooo how did you find all those things i was in the clothing bit upstairs and the woman went all psychoshopassistant on me telling me the good 4p stuff has gone and i acted all inocent.. baby stuff too omg i think i have to go back tomorow now.
im still looking for the baby bouncer that was on here the other day they didnt have it in our store.
thanks everyone for the advice, i am now on the ball and feeling a little less hormonal. the budget is in the process of being done and hopefully over the next few weeks there are some really cheap christmas stuff.0 -
caz2703 You can freeze cheese, I stock up on it when it's on offer. It goes a bit crumbly but the taste is fine (or so my OH tells me I'm allergic
)
My best tip on MSE was during R&R days - Parmesen was always mispriced! Freeze it and grate it as you need it, so much better than the pre grated stuff! Even paying for it, it works out economical in the long run - really lifts cheap pasta!0 -
Yep - get the 4 x £10 packs. Tried it and paid £40 (minus £7 which correctly came off - just not enough). Went to CS and said - Paid £33, should be £25, = DTD of £16. Therefore £17 for 4 packs. Fab bargain and thanks to the OP.
Back without any Speckled Hen. There was plenty on the shelf, but no signs that said it was 4 for £25.Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times and I'll smash your face in.0 -

Had quite a good experience with CS at tesco direct over the phone today !!!
On monday tried to order the boys £7 outfit (my store didnt stock it to take advantage of the earlier glitch !)
I found a lovely blue shirt with tie and waistcoat that had the £7 outfit deal banner across it ,was priced at £17.50 on its own !! then had a bit of a nightmare looking for the jeans as none of them had a outfit banner on ?!?!
Vaguely remembered on here that they were priced at £7 so tried a couple of pairs but discount still didnt come off at the checkout .
Was getting quite stressed at this point cos really wanted the outfit for sons xmas day clothes so thought ill just pay full price - £24.50
Afterwards ,i had second thoughts ,and thought id just return for a refund.
Anyhow got confirmation today to go and pick up .so i thought id phone CS to see if they could do anything or refund at least over the phone .
Lovely lady , though it took a while to sort ,she asked which items etc. then went to talk to her manager , came back and said it was a shirt or jumper that should have been included in offer but as my shirt was clearly displayed with £7 outfit banner on website ,they would honor the deal and was very sorry !! got a refund for the difference and sons xmas day oufit sorted -shirt ,waistcoat ,tie and jeans - all for £7 !!0 -

I need help!! No really I do and hope you lovely lot can help although not T related(sorry
)
I have been waiting 5 weeks for sky to fit my phone TV and broadband, I've been with them 10 years.
After numerous calls, they keep telling me there is an error on their system, I got totally fed up today and told them to forget it.
At this point they said they'd set me up as a new customer, I said no thanks as I knew I'd get a better deal signing myself up as a new customer via quidco.
They told me I can't do this, as it would be on the system that I had requested sky here even if it wasn't in my name.
Why is it they can call me a new customer but I wont benefit from it ?
My DD has had no "proper" Internet for her school work, I've been unable to view my PTA agendas and minutes, I've had to buy extra data allowance on my phone and have gone well over my mobile phone mins allowance chasing them up, I also have to sign a new 12m contract and won't get my long term benefits such as the half price 6 months TV deal I had (expires jan) on top of that they want me to pay the £40 new customer fee, just because their system has an error and they've messed my account (up to date payment wise)
Do you think I have reason enough to complain to HO and if so do you think it will get me anywhere, I'm so annoyed, they continually break their promises to keep me updated too.
Sorry for the essay, need to vent ha ha !!
And you lot are so wise in these matters
Do I have enough reasonMSE- The Glitchhikers guide to the galaxy0
