Hiya, got to admit, that is some high generation for the last 3.5 months. Presumably you've got a pretty big south facing system?

This site may help a little:

    http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/climate/uk/anomacts/

If you select sunshine, you'll see that Glasgow had average to poor levels of sunshine Oct to Feb, but average or better from Mch onwards, so that may help with explaining it.

I'd definitely register with this site, which should give pretty accurate estimates of actual generation once you've put in all your details:

    http://solargis.info/pvspot/system-24/month.htm#2012-06

If pvSpot is close to your numbers, then the two arguments should validate your claim. I think!

    Best of luck.

    Mart.

Yes we are just off south, no shading, and have 16 Sanyo 250 panels with a Fronius inverter.

After an exchange of phone calls, and offering to send them a photograph of the meter, they have now accepted the reading. Seems the rejection was from a computer, not a real person.
  • E-mailed the social media monitors at Eon with the content of my last post. Received reply fairly promptly with promise I would receive a call today. I have, and been told payment will be within 11 working days, (more than 2 weeks), but our account has now been moved to the new automated system so in theory, future payments will be far quicker.

Here's hoping it all goes to plan.

Payment received into bank today, 21st June, from reading provided on 6th April (76 days). We have been told the account has been moved to the 'new' system, and that we should phone in the next reading, making clear to the call handler we are on the said 'new' system, wherein payment should be through within 7 days.
  • I sent in my FIT reading to EON on the 20th April. I received an automated reply saying that payment would be made within 45 days. Previously this had been within 30 days but apparently they were upgrading the payment system to make it more efficient!

The date is now the 22nd June and still no sign of payment. I have contacted EON via email again asking for an explanation but no response.
Is anyone else having this problem?

I wonder if they would be as happy if I delayed paying my fuels bill ? Think of the interest I could accrue !
  • Submitted reading to EDF on June 4th. Payment arrived in bank account today - is this a record for EDF?

  • I am still waiting for a payment from E-On, apparently my install has not migrated correctly (what???) so I have not been paid. Amazing, lets spend more time on the phone to them......

Avoiding premium 0845 numbers used by charlatans, you can get straight through to the E-On FiT Team on 01234 733029

In my experience Brit Gas are good (I have 4 installs at different locations....)

    Hello

Just wondered when you had your solar panels installed as you are new to this site.

I had mine installed in Feb this year. Have only just got contracts up and running with Eon. They have asked me to give a meter reading on 17th Aug 2012. That means I won't receive any payment from them until at least Novemembe,
which will be 9 months after I had the panels installed.

Eon do seem to drag their feet a bit. I have actually thought of cancelling my direct debit with them to see how they like waiting for their money!!

FYI I'm with Good Energy too. I signed up online but they sent the paperwork by snail mail after a few weeks. I wonder if yours was "lost in the post".

Thanks - my official letter turned up today so I'm officially registered with the necessary body. Just wish they didn't take so long to pay, could do with my FIT payment now ;)

Our solar was installed back in December (8th) and EDF took until 28th May to verify the install - quite quick with payment though. From 28th May, they only took until 14th June for the first payment of just over £400 (the e-mail they originally sent said that the payment could take up to 90 days!)
  • I have just moved to Utility Warehouse, they are offering an extra 2p/kWh for a couple of years as an incentive.

They offset the FiT against my Electricity and Gas bill. Just received my bill for May, £6 (down from £115).

Must agree with Doc N's comment, I have never known a Utility Company to wait 45 days before asking me for money so why should we wait for them to pay us

BTW, I am not a Utility Warehouse salesman but I am sure you can find one if you google it. My guy was really nice and I would be happy to pass on his details if you message me. I don't get commission I just liked him and would like to see him do well

I've always been surprised more companies don't do this. I bet they'd spot a backwards running meter more quickly!
