    Hi Nick

I'm sorry you're still waiting for your April FIT payment.

If you would like to send an email to the address in my Profile, I'll be happy to take a look and let you know what's happening.

I'd go ahead with the bad publicity if I were you, nickwoodz - it's the only thing which e.on worry about. That's why we're getting another very rare appearance by the 'E.ON Company Representative', who pops up from time to time when someone threatens some publicity.

I managed to get mine sorted out with them a while back - but only by taking some pretty drastic action to encourage them to deal with my account properly.

I suggest you do the same - it really is the only thing they listen to. :D
  • I have now been promised payment twice.....

I phone them for info, they use one of those premium 0845 numbers (I hate that) so a quick look on "saynoto0840, give their normal number as

Just had a chat with Eon apparently if they miss the 3 or 6 month window I might have to wait for my money till 9 month reading is sent in. Will get all money that I'm owed but no extra for delayed payment.
    still waiting Peter

I'll submit on the last working day of this month (29/6).

I decided to submit a little earlier than the end of the month, so sent yesterday's (25/6) reading. No reason other than a busy few days ahead and I didn't want to miss the boat.

Thought I'd post in case anyone else with EDF needed a reminder to submit a reading this month (assuming they've got your system registered already).

  • emailed readings to British Gas on 07/05/12. They processed it on 14/05/12, they then use 28 working days before paying. Still waiting for cheque. Also caught out by change in tariff rate. I had supplied readings for the 1st April expecting them to use ( Generation & Export ) but they have been ignored on the excuse that Ofgem insist on these readings being provided within 7 days. Awful service.

Just a quick heads up guys.

Neither I or my colleagues on these boards are part of E.ON PR, marketing or any other variation of publicity management.

We're part of Customer Service and the offers of help are genuine as quite a few on this and other forums can confirm.

To be honest, we can't necessarily speed things up or change things but we can find out what's happening and give clear explanations.

We're here to help if anyone wants to take up the offer.

We don't doubt your sincerity, but it looks to those of us who aren't e.on customers that you are facing the wrong way. You should be printing these posting out and showing them to your bosses and explaining to them that E.On's reputation is being trashed on this forum by your poor performance.
I for one will not consider E.On as a supplier in the future because of this - which is sad because I live very close to your offices and would normally consider you as my local option, part of my local economy and worth supporting..

Likewise. E.ON's handling of my FIT payments has been so appalling that I wouldn't dream of using it for energy supplies unless it was substantially below its competitors on price (which it never is).

The guys at the top of e.on are aware of this shambles, but presumably think it won't affect sales of energy. I hope they're proved wrong.

Have just been directed to this thread (thanks, John_Pierpoint)

Another unhappy E-on customer here :(

When we first had our system installed, they were great - I chose them because they were, by a country mile, the most helpful of all the companies I'd contacted. The first few FIT payments came through very promptly (within a few days) and I had no complaints.

    But.
In February I sent them my reading by email, as usual and they managed to pay me the wrong amount, based on some completely random figure they'd concocted. To be fair, once I pointed this out (although I did need to walk them through the calculations with words of only one syllable) they corrected it within a few days.
Then when I sent my quarterly reading in May I got the email back saying that they are implementing a new, automated, system for sending meter readings and that the payment would take a bit longer than usual - 45 days. I wasn't too bothered because they have previously said it may take up to 30 days and it's always arrived much more quickly than that.
But I waited, and waited, and waited and 45 days came, and went. Eventually, a couple of days ago, I rang them to find out what was going on and was told they were running about 3 weeks behind. So another 3 weeks :(, on top of the 7 weeks they've already had?

Of course, I'm not happy to say the least.
If it was an enery bill they were expecting me to pay they wouldn't wait 10 weeks for payment! The young man I spoke to promised me a call back from a manager.... which, of course, never came (although I wasn't holding my breath)

Having now read here that others have been waiting since April I'm even more dismayed!

I've had a look at my FIT contract with Eon, which states:
Your Generation Tariff Payment is due to You every three months, subject to Us receiving valid meter readings within the required timescales.

As it is now more than 4 months since received my last payment I wonder whether this is a possible breach of contract by E-on?

Trouble is I think most of the Energy Companies are 'Late Payers'. All you may achieve is having to go through the bother of transferring your registration:mad: Here is a copy of what I sent them last night following your post:-

" I submitted my feed in tariff account to you on the 22nd of May 2012.

I note that the account is still unpaid; please be aware that interest on the amount is due at £0.07p per day following the 30th day.

Currently as of today, the amount due is as invoiced plus 6 days @ £0.42p, please add this to your remittance, which currently equates to £343.30p.+ £0.42p. = £343.72p.

If there is further delay, please amend your payment accordingly, I look forward to your remittance.

    Kindest regards", :rotfl:
