£100 worth of stuff didnt turn up, !!!!!!
Time to find a cheaper girlfriend I think.
Now that Valentine's day is over does anyone know the best place to get some cheap roses? No point wasting money buying them on Valentine's Day 'cos that's just a marketing con. I can still bag a load of brownie points by getting her indoors some flowers.

I got a Corgi Batmobile from ebay (had to organise buying it myself, but still), £10. He got a cappucino cup and saucer, coffee, choc set from Boots (£2 reduced from £10), two books from the Book People (bought one with my Bk People points so free, the other was £1). His card was from The Works 38p. I'm from Yorkshire and we don't like to skimp. I did have a box of half price Tesco luxury chocs from before Christmas but I'll probably keep those for his birthday in December.

My best Valentine's presents have come from my kids who spent most of yesterday making us both cards and cutting out paper hearts. Bless.

But I would rather spend £1 for a crap bunch than £45 like others seem to have done - Doesn't annoy you that these companies rip people off.

well I must say 0800 flowers have come up trumps - a email compliant went in this afternoon and a call back from them this evening resolved the issues... shame it couldnt be done on valentines day, they did have a few problems with flowers running out an the "crap" getting sent out via the holland florists, I must say they do take customer services very seriously so Im happy that the issue should be resolved... (and the other half should be getting a nice bunch of flowers next week to make up for it).... :)

Well, sorry to say (after initially spotting the velvet and lace offer), I'm also complaining to 0800Flowers about the quality of the roses my wife received. The white ones in particular were grotty. I'll let you know how I get on.
