    Hi,

Does anyone know of any reduced valentines packages / gifts??

I'm not amazingly tight, or very forgetful but my other half does have a good sense of humour and appreciates a laugh!! Basically my plan was to get her a hamper or ideally something edible (so that she doesnt have to drag it to her car) delivered to her office.

Should be funny!! Was planning for Friday or maybe even next week!!

Does anyone know of anywhere, i know all the shops are 50%+ off all their valentines stock...

    Many Thanks.:rotfl:

You could always try Thorntons online as they have a clearance section.

Just so you know, Sainsburys (i went to Selly Oak, Brum) have reduced all their valentine stuff and there was also beautiful bouquets that they had removed (I believe - ready to be reduced!)

Good luck in your quest, my husband came home yesterday and cleaned the kitchen beautifully - best valentines gift I could hope for! And I bought a pg chimp with the tea bags for myself in Sainsburys today!
If you don't have something nice to say don't bother saying anything at all.

I made up a hamper for my g/f. She's off the chocolate, etc at the moment, so I purchased a nice basket and filled it with things that she'll find useful (and usually buys herself). Lipsill, hair products, face products, moisturisers, vitamin E cream, some Go Ahead goodies that she likes, a magazine, a little miss. car air freshener, valentines card, etc!

Didnt actually end up spending that much, and she loved it :)

She got me a card and some Lindt chocolates, yummy! :)

    fuzed,
Have you got a picture of the flowers received that you can post here or PM me with ?
My OH was equally diappointed when she received her bouquet and even more so when I revealed the price.
I want to make sure that what we received was as "equally poor" as what others received - prior to complaining.
    Thanks in advance.

Anil, Im sorry I dont as teh OH is in manchester and 200 miles away, but they were Short stem crappy roses I could have bought from tescos/asda/m&s for the max price of 5 quid!!

I will NOT be using them after this!!!! and I may just contact my credit card company to complain as well. I know my mrs wasnt happy with the flowers either, you could see it in her face!!! :( (lucky I bought her choc's, a teddy, perfume etc etc).
  • Used a local florist to deliver the flowers to the wife and they were great. Try not to trust internet companies just incase things go pear-shape.

I've put a complaint in, lets see what they say - I will direct them to this thread an they can have bad publicity if they like, its sad that they think they can get away with it, I would be happy with a NICE replacement bunch of flowers to be sent to her at home (a decent bunch) to make up for that CRAP they sent!
