All they've done is create their own version of Morrison's "Price Crunch" and Asda's "Rollback" - the Tesco "Price Drop". Its all marketing, and they've sold it well to the newspapers - its all just smoke and mirrors.0

What a load of rubbish, items that ive bought for months and months are now more expensive.
Ive always bought tesco light cheese 500g, 2 packs for a fiver but now with the 'price drop' you cant get the 2 for £5 and its £3.99 a pack so now its gonna cost me £7.98. Well its not gonna cost me that cos i may as well go Morrisons and buy my cheese there thats on offer and use my £10 off £60 shop voucher from sundays MirrorMarch 2014 Grocery challenge £250.000 -
I had the last laugh today. £10 off a £70 spend voucher that was posted to me by Tesco, £5 off a £40 spend from the Daily Mail, £10 off a £50 spend from Morrissons and a £1.00 off Oral B toothpaste till spit.
Result, £26 0ff a £72.00 spend.
And all, legit!:D
Ta muchly.:T
This lower pricing thingie is deffo a load of bowling balls, in my opinion.:(
My next delivery will be free from Ocado, with all items reduced, 3 for 2, etc and fruit and veg from Rosspa.Felines are my favourite

the whole things a con, Tesco have bumped up a lot of prices to then 'price drop them'! we always buy a tesco whole chicken which is always £4 , an ad in the paper has the chicken priced at £5 to then slash the price to £4! what a joke!mummy to 3 monsters!
trying to money save, but spot too many bargains on here!!0 -
I thought I was being clever getting the big tubs of chocolates at a fiver each & gradually preparing for Christmas. Today I see they're £4.50.
Oh Cobblers. Yes, a price cut. Just on something I don't buy often & have already got. :mad:0 -
The basic price may have reduced but the lack of multibuys on basic goods means that prices have actually increased!
Last week 3x4pint semi-skimmed milk was 3 for £3. Today at the "reduced price" they are £1.25 each - total £3.75.
My milk bill goes up by 25%
Bread products are similar.
"The big price drop"?? Marketing bull - Tesco shopping is actually MORE EXPENSIVE this week!
Couldn't agree more. A few Tesco own brand things that I don't tend to buy claim to have their price dropped, including the milk which as you say is now 25% more expensive when you buy 3x 4 pints - and I believe this offer was previously advertised as running until the end of the year (as I like to look at these things!)
What a load of rubbish. Sainsbury's has the milk offer until at least 15th November so looks like we'll be going there.0 -
reducing stuff to the price it normaly is just ridiculousReplies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. If your reply cannot be nice, has an underlying issue, or you believe that you are God, please post in another forum. Thank you0
