Just been in Tesco and they had 3 x Princes tuna chunks, reduced from £5.99  to £3.00. Saving £2.99. Next to those they had 4 x Princes tuna chunks with the normal white label of £4.
How can they say the 3 pack cost £2 more than the 4 pack originally???There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -

TESCO BIGGEST CON ARTISTS EVER.......
My store today had celery "was 68p NOW £1.20 ", printed on a price drop label .0 -
I make a point all the time of checking how much my stuff is costing before I buy it and ALWAYS check, my receipts.Last week they had chestnut mushrooms on offer at 50p a box of 250 gms but when I checked my bill I had been charged £1.00 I went to CS and got a quid back as their machines had got it wrong But if you think that maybe in the course of a week several million folk paid over the odds for their mushrooms then Tesco's are doing very nicely .At no time did the CS lady call a assistant to change anything it was a case of I had challnged them so I got my mushrooms for nowt and a quid back, cheap at half the price for Tesco's and I don't suppose many folk do look at their receipts but I make a point of doing it.
O.K. maybe its only 50p, and not a lot but 50p when you live on a pension could buy something else .So do read you bills if you get a chance as its these small mistakes that make Tesco their millions profit
I always check my receipt before i leave the store, Yesterday they charged me £2.03 for a item when it should have been £1.01 so we got £2.04 back (free item) I have not had one receipt where everything is correct i am always getting money back so dont worry.

Oh dear - just been to Tesco...was looking forward to the great "price-drop"...yeah..my arm!
I am not one for remembering prices but I do remember a few. Some prices have dropped, yes (mostly for the cheap Tesco value stuff though that I try to avoid as it's either nasty or they tend to exploit farmers ie milk, butter)...
Now I found a few products that used to be a lot cheaper 3 month ago. There was one product that cost 55 p a few month ago. The new label claims it used to be 68 p and is now 63 p. I am 100% certain that they hiked up the prices a few weeks earlier just to drop them again - but not even to the original price but slightly higher.
Aldi, Lidl, I'm coming!!!0 -
If anybody actually believes that tesco do anything at any time for the customer then they are either stupid or sadly mistaken. I work for tesco and day in day out see the tricks they try to get people to buy things at supposed reduced prices. It makes me cringe. I work on customer service and am on the receiving end of the abuse from customers who are angry at the constant misleading information given. Equally tho I am constantly amazed at the greed and bare faced cheek of customers who abuse the policies and consequently ruin it for genuine customers.0

I feel that genuine 'bargain hunting' has gone for good, at least as long as people are duped by stunts such as this Tesco 'deal'
Too many phoney price cuts, too many 'fake' BOGOF's where the price has been artificially inflated in the first place and too many points schemes and vouchers that give the customer an artificial feeling of getting a bargain (administering these schemes costs the retails millions, which of course is included in the product price)
I've used Aldi/Lidl in the past but wasn't won over, but i'm seriously going to give them another go...if only to be able to walk round a store and see what it is going to cost me in simple terms in Pounds and Pence...instead of being bamboozled by offers and charged inflated prices only to be 'rewarded' months later with a few points vouchers in the post.
don't be duped by this slick marketing scam!0
