Price drop pants!
Just put last weeks items in my basket and it's 1 quid more than last weeks bill. Only 1 item out of my 62 has a price drop, 15p. Last weeks offers are still on offer so its not like I got something last week half price which has now gone up. I'm buying standard things too, bread, milk, veg etc.
What carp!0 -
Totally agree with you Bloomin , there's no price drop with my shopping either .Proud to be No. 61 in the DMP mutual support group.0

yeah i think its only on a few items, especially Tesco's own brands:j0

The basic price may have reduced but the lack of multibuys on basic goods means that prices have actually increased!
Last week 3x4pint semi-skimmed milk was 3 for £3. Today at the "reduced price" they are £1.25 each - total £3.75.
My milk bill goes up by 25%
Bread products are similar.
"The big price drop"?? Marketing bull - Tesco shopping is actually MORE EXPENSIVE this week!0 -
Do Mr. T's actually pay their marketing and promotions teams? It seem ridiculous, they made a farce of the whole DTD thing because they never actually thought it through, and now they are claiming to have reduced the average shoppers shopping bill, but they have actually made themselves more expensive?
Crazy....though i wouldn't mind their jobs :rotfl:0 -
The work average is key. I haven't done my shop yet... but
3 x 4 litres of milk - 12 litres - isn't average. 2 x 4 litres is average I would say - so there would be a saving...0 -

Totally agree, its a big con. They have done a big PR job on the press who have fallen for it.
The milk example highlights it greatly. Most people whwn shopping will buy some of the multibuys and stock up and save, not on a handful of items in their shop that will save pence.
I dare to say that most people who do a big shop will end up paying more on a like for like shop. Just try getting the press to do a big story on that though.
