How often do you wash your hair?

I don't know tbh. No ones ever said anythingDoes your scalp not smell a bit? I find that if daughter doesn't wash her hair every day, her scalp smells. She obviously doesn't smell it and neither does anyone else from a distance, but Mums tend to go smell things other people wouldn't, hence me putting my nose on her head.
Please note: I wouldn't put my nose on anyone else's head so I wouldn't get a smell from anyone else's scalp.

I've just stuck my head under my OH and asked her, no she said. But I still rinse it everyday in the shower and give it a good towelling. I do have very short hair though, so not really the same as a woman.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
every 2-3 days, if I wash it every day I have to wash it every day because if I miss a day it looks awful and is really greasy but if I regularly do it every other day or 2-3 days then it seems less greasy. Its up all the time at the minute anyway since its still falling out after having the baby and loads of new little hairs growing in a fuzzy horrible way.0

as other posters have said, too much washing will make it more greasy. i wash mine normally 2/3 times a week but i work in a kitchen and although it doesnt get greasy it can get smelly with all the food stuff.
i say normally because at the moment i am 9 months pregnant and although i bathe everyday i just so havent the energy to wash my hair more than once or if feeling really energetic twice a week.
i even showered at my mums last weekend just so i could wash my hair without keep laying down in the bath and trying to get up again lolnow proud mum to 3 handsome boys :j latest one born 10/10/11:j0 -
My hair is very fine too but I have to wash it every morning otherwise by about lunchtime it is starting to itch and just feels grubby. Rinsing well is the key IMO and the bath tap shower attachment or even a jug so you can use clean water is better than bath water.0

Every day, like the OP. After 36 hours it looks like I spread it with margarine. I'll try a gentler shampoo, thanks for the recommendations!0

Every day............ I've experimented with lots of different regimes over the years (I'm 49) but even though it's curly, my hair is very fine and getting finer! It looks flat and greasy very quickly and if my hair's yuk then I feel yuk
Never wash it in the bath tho..........eeewww 0 -
i have quite thick hair, wash it every third day, but if i was going out for the night or something on the second day after washing it i'd wash it again, likewise if it was the third day and i was having a grubby day, cleaning and lazing about, i'd leave it til the following morning.
i used to wash it every other day because i had a really sore scalp, constantly itchy, but nizoral has been a revelation! i use it once a week and pantene the rest of the week.0 -
Have you tried dry shampoo?0

3 times a week usually - mine is fine but short and tends to be dry.
I suspect you are washing too often and also washing wrong - wash your hair before or after your bath using cool running water to see if it makes a difference. head and Shoudlers wil posisbly be stripping your hair too much too and making it produce mor eoil.
When I had long hair I washed it every 10 dyas or so with a dry shampoo between times if I neededPeople seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.
