Thank you MacMickster - that's the first one I've seen despite extensive searching.

It is casual - I'd be interested to know why the 'food and beverage assistant' gets £6.60ph and the casual one only £6.08ph but it does have PRP and free leisure club membership which presumable add further value - but nevertheless I stand corrected.

I'll now have to restrict my comments to 'non casual' public servants (without PRP)

FWIW re.your comments on £7 minimum - 90% of our factory earn less than that (and, I suspect, many of them work a damn sight harder that pouring out a few cups of tea) - it's the only way we can compete with foreign imports.....the alternative is more on the unemployed register.

nb it's called the real world !

    So you need corroborative evidence?

It is true that many pay scales in the public sector start at a few pence per hour above the National Minimum Wage, but I would still argue that earning £7 per week above the absolute minimum is still a minimum wage job.

Although pension schemes are available, and there would be an employer's contribution, many earning these rates can't afford to belong to the pension schemes so don't benefit from those contributions.

It would seem to indicate it would be fairly easy to earn more than that though and that the package is better than just the minimum wage at the start also in terms of value.

There are plenty more minimum wage public sector jobs out there, with no apparent bonuses available.

Around 5,000 children are killed or seriously injured on Britain’s roads every year. Every 2 out of 3 of these accidents occur whilst a child is out walking or playing, which is why our School Crossing Patrols have such a vital role to play.
If you have a friendly, welcoming personality, are approachable and want to make a difference in your local community, you could be just what we’re looking for. We currently have a number of vacancies for the following:
As a School Crossing Patrol you will stop traffic to assist pedestrians across the road, look out for potential hazards or dangers near crossing areas, and help educate children on road safety issues.
We have vacancies in locations throughout the county borough, and working hours will fall either side of school start and finish times. It is important that you are available to work on all days when the schools are open.

    How things of changed from

Dinner Lady & Lollypop Lady. (TBH I thought these rolls used to be voluntry rolls)

There is no dispute there will be some, but I think the idea that the lowest paid are mainly in the private sector is untrue.
Oddly non so far have been civil service either.;)

That's still around 3 times what a worker earns working in a Honda car plant in China on the assembly line.

The context has to be what is a job worth in this global world we now live in.
