Didn't realise there were so many compers, I started a couple of weeks ago but haven't entered 1000s. I got my first win the other day, a DVD new release, so shouldn't be long until your first win nat.
edited to say: Wow less than a fiver to go
hi natterjack :hello:
If you go into 'my account' you can see what your fee's are to take off your total.
I now have £47 in cash which I'm very pleased about cos normally I 'dip' into stashes to use for living money, although I admit it's the beginning of the pay month for us so there's time yet for us to completely run out of living money again
I might pay it off the holiday when it gets to £50 so I can't use it
Also, ordered two more £5 vouchers on mccains

I haven't checked the competition thread as like I said I have been comping for years and don't use MSE for my sources of comps.
However, would suggest these as basics:
1. comping email that you use just for comping, remember to check the spam folder regularly! you may lose a winning email in there!
2. a facebook id, can be your regular or like most of us, a separate one for comping
3. a twitter account
4. a spare comping phone. you can just use a cheap one for about £10 if you don't want to access internet on it. If you get an unlocked one, you can get free sims - sometimes with credit. only thing to be aware of is if you give one of the sim numbers that you throw away... you might miss a winning call. If you can win some mobiles, use several for comping and have different sims - ie free sims, etc.
a spreadsheet - if you are really organised, comps entered and closing date and prize.
if not, of your wins, nice to see the value of your prizes at the end of the year.
good luck to everybody. You don't have to be a die hard comper.
But even entering one or two a week is nice.0 -
88p saved in the supermarket today - bought 2 loaves of bread from the reduced shelf, a porkpie and some cravendale milk that had been reduced by 20p:D
.
Horace, if you don't use printable coupon thread, get yourself over there, we had free milk from cravendale on fb and I won some on twitter. Also money off coupon vouchers.0 -

I wonder sometimes why I speak to my family; my sister told my mum about my new hobby and I've had her on the phone telling my it's pathetic and I need to get a life. It really hurts to hear that, this is something I enjoy, it stops me comfort eating as its giving me something to do and most of all, they forget im going through a break-up so it focus' my mind elsewhere. Just because I dont go crying on their shoulder(can you blame me?!) to them that means im over it. Im dealing with it my way and comping helps greatly.
Sorry for the rant, its nice to know others dont think im pathetic.
Anyway, not a single survey my way today so comping is filling in nicely!
I get that all the time too, my partner keeps going on and on about the amount of time i am 'wasting' doing surveys etc. He knows i am recovering from a major depressive episode and most days i find it difficult to leave the house. It gives me something to focus my mind, distracts me from stupid thoughts, and helps me earn a few quid as well - i finally feel like i am actually starting to contribute to earning again (and sorting out my debts) but he just doesn't seem to get it! On the other hand it is of course very worthwhile him sitting playing war games online for like 5 hours at a time........... hmmmmmmm!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Debt at Aug 2010 (LBM) £21,908.86, Debt Freeeeee Date 4th Nov 2013 :j:j:j Massive Thanks to the £10 per day thread :A Next goals:Savings £1203.16/£10,000******Mortgage to Zero: £52,579.46 to go

Not much, but one was a children's coat that I bought for 50p in a charity shop last week, and sold it for £3.50. Not much, but the entrepreneur in me does get the thrill out of little profits like that!
Wish there were bargains like that around here - charity shops around here are soooooo expensive
