They typically don't care though, as even if you have 250K with them when you apply for the card, you could withdraw it all by the time you receive the card.Having savings accounts can help when applying for credit products, provided they are with the same organisation. Other banks can't see what savings you have elsewhere.0 -

its utter rubbish just go onto this website and do a soft search i put bogus name in with bogus adress i put on i was unemployed had no bank account been made bankrupt and i got accepted ! its a farceand its same with the nationwide one0 -
Hmmmm.. Nationwide have quoted my 9.9% with a limit of £2800.
Should i complete the application, or will i get declined once a full search goes through?
its rubbish it not a soft search i put down i was unemployed with bad credit history and got accepted for £4500 if i had proceeded it would haver got declined0 -

Agree with the fluid comments, just done the same and it said I had a good chance of acceptance!!
However the nationwide soft search is not a farce, I've gone through the process and got one as has my husband. He got a better apr than me

You won't know unless you proceed to the final stages of the application process.
I got accepted last night, but have no way of comparing your circumstances to my own.
