Just a quick question to piggy back my other post - has anyone been "approved in principle" and then declined or received a different offer to that in the initial proposal? Patience really is NOT my middle name. Thank you.0

Have been approved in principle (which seems from this thread to be the norm) and have checked my account online to see if its appearing on there. Its in the "applications" section as "completed" but nothing in the actions column. No dd has been set up yet so just wondering how long it took for other peoples dd to be set up and appear on line, and if the status of the applications page changed at all? I have read through this thread and cant see any of my questions answered but apologies if I've missed this. thanks in advance for any answers.
Hi,
Although not already a Nationwide customer so can't comment on the application status, I was approved in principle online and my DD showed a week later and the balance transfers I requested were done the same day as the DD showed up.
I've received both my pin number and my card today which would be my only complaint in terms of security! I initially completed the online application last Thurs night - so not at all bad going. The APR and limit are the same as I was quoted - with such a high limit, I can't see you having a problem. Hope this helps.0 -
Thanks for the reply Em. Fingers crossed then!0

Just logged on to my nationwide iPhone app and the credit card is set up. It's showing a balance of zero, with available balance of 2,250. Does this take into account the balance transfers its processing on my behalf, or does that mean that is the total limit they have given me? I was offered £7k at quote and during application.
Can anyone remember what their balance said on on line banking? Was it the full amount or amount after bts??0 -

Have they not offered you 2.25k instead of 7k.0 -
Hi thanks for the reply - I hope that's not the case as the point of the card was a balance transfer. The sums add up if they have given me £7k then deducted the bt. I guess I'll have to develop some patience and wait for the paperwork
At no point did they tell me they were reducing the offer from 7k - although it was an app in principle. Ah well I guess I'll find out soon enough.0 -
My BT was showing on the account it was paid to before the new card details arrived in the post. (LTSB). Could you check that one?0

Hi - thanks for replying. I will log in at work tomorrow and check that. Thanks for the idea0

Hello - just an update - I have been given the cl and apr quoted. Very pleased with Nationwide. Their processes and admin seems to be great. I now have everything with them (once the bts have gone over) and will definitely consider them for my mortgage which comes up for review later this year when my deal at Santander comes to an end.0

I applied last Thursday afternoon, was accepted in principle, balance transfers completed this morning (Tuesday).
Nationwide have been absolutely excellent so far. I set up a flexdirect account with them in February and switched it to my main account in early April (from Santander who had been completely inflexible over anything at all since it changed from Abbey). Everything has been completed promptly, customer services call centre has been polite, efficient and helpful (debit card issues a couple of times because Visa verify system has been tightened up).
I have high hopes! If all continues this well, I shall get my mortgage swapped too! Am a VERY happy bunny!!!!:T0
