I dont know if this has been covered off but do nationwide use experian or equifax?0

Experian.......I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0

Experian only!0

I think thats good news for me.... thanks!0

Well I put in another application last Thursday and it came back £5200 @ 9.9% - when I went through to the full application it said "pleased to confirm your application has been approved in principle, subject to final checks"
So I'm a bit more hopeful this time. Presumably these final checks will just be proof of name, income etc..
I had this with Barclaycard at the begining of the year and they rejected me on the basis of proof of address. I sent them this, but they still said they couldnt find my address as it was a new build and had not been registered yet!0 -
Also, just did a soft search on Nationwide and was offered 19.9% with CL of £1200, and this had a 0% balance transfer for 20 months. I dont think its worth going to full app just yet.
Is the best you can get from the normal card, ie for those that are not nationwide customers, 15.9%?0 -
Nope, I got 9.9% on mine.0

Nope, I got 9.9% on mine.
Thats strange as when i went through the main page the two card options, the flex for non-customers and the select for exisiting customers, the lowest it said on there was 15.9% for the flex.
Have you got a link to the page you apply from? Not that i am going to apply again in the near future!:cool:0 -
http://www.nationwide.co.uk/creditcard/credit-card/offer-deals.htmOther rates from 9.9% to 19.9% APR apply depending on individual circumstances0
-
Oh right I see.
So taking into account that fact that 15.9% is its representative, if you get over this, ie 19.9% then you will probably be declined, and if you get under it, you will probably be accepted, and if you get that, the CL will be the indicator?
I dont think £1200 is a very big CL, so i doubt i will get accepted to be honest.0
