Yes, that's standard. It looks like you've been accepted! :T Sometimes if you already have an account it may be possible to "sign it" digitally, which happened when I applied for an HSBC credit card, but usually they send paperwork.

When I applied for the Nationwide card, they said the same thing and the agreement arrived a few days later. I haven't got the card just yet but everything went through fine.

Did wonder if i'd get it, cos I have 3 credit cards, 2 I don't use, so thoght that might affect the application. Must remeber to close those cos they are v. high APR.

Hope i do get the 9.9% as advised. It will be handy to have for any last minute wedding purchases. Already have a Barclaycard at 7.9%. Currently owing £700 due to the Stone Roses tickets i bought this morning. Can't get their bloody song out of my head...

My card shows £2700 @ 19.9% so maybe it'll say no?

I used drop down thing to reduce limit to £1000 and click apply. It said no. So even though the limit was high, the apr was high it still say no

Maybe it was all in the high apr? I need to wait 6 month now I think before reapply.

There's a 'super soft' search on here, if you want to check several at once:

Probably not the most accurate in the world, but it doesn't leave the old footprints...

  • Guys another system the same sort of thing as the nationwide soft search is on Moneysupermarket! They call it the smart search but do the whole of the market and give u possible out of 10, of how likely u will be accepted for that companies card? In my case tesco and m&s both came up as 9/10 possible acceptance, so I done the application for the Tesco and got accepted! U can break it down by various options aswell like balance transfer, purchases or standard low apr cards? I done the 0% purchases tab which is what told me about the tesco and m&s cards?

    Hope this helps?

lol, I don't think alot of people know about it thats all. I personally found it fantastic. Good aswell if you want to see what sort of state your credit history is in? By which I mean if you don't get offered the leading market cards you know you have work to do?
  • I did the soft search for my mother as she is wanting a new card, it came back with 9.9% 2000 does that sound like an accept lol
