Nationwide Soft-Search

Thanks! Think what i'll do is wait for another 3+ months so my new flex account is more mature, plus more 'greens' on my latest CC, then apply.I would think you have a very good chance, yes.
I was quoted the same APR and a similar limit and so applied and everything went through fine. The application was accepted instantly and the credit agreement turned up two days later. By soft-searching your report, I think they've pretty much got all the information they need, so I think it would be unlikely for a quote like that to be later declined.

Do you have to bank with them to get their CC's? Always wondered if that was the case?:oGetting married 23rd June 2012!!:o0

No, I don't believe you do. I applied for a credit card with them without banking with them. They do ask whether you have a NW current account on the application, presumably to see how the account is run, but it's not a requirement.Do you have to bank with them to get their CC's? I can't see an option for doing a soft search at Nationwide, just a full application.
Am i looking in the wrong place?!:oGetting married 23rd June 2012!!:o0 -
IS it that 'No obligation quote'?:oGetting married 23rd June 2012!!:o0

The soft-search is done by the normal application form. You fill out the forms about your details, your home, your job and other credit accounts, and then they will give you a no obligation quote. At this point, they will have searched your credit report (Experian, I think) but it will be marked as a quotation and so won't show negatively to other lenders. Once you see your quote, you can decide not to take the application further. This is everybody's fault but mine.0

Hmmmm.. Nationwide have quoted my 9.9% with a limit of £2800.
Should i complete the application, or will i get declined once a full search goes through?:oGetting married 23rd June 2012!!:o0 -
I applied, but they're sending a credit application post for my to sign...it that standard?!:oGetting married 23rd June 2012!!:o0

Yes, that's standard. It looks like you've been accepted! :T Sometimes if you already have an account it may be possible to "sign it" digitally, which happened when I applied for an HSBC credit card, but usually they send paperwork.I applied, but they're sending a credit application post for my to sign...it that standard?!
When I applied for the Nationwide card, they said the same thing and the agreement arrived a few days later. I haven't got the card just yet but everything went through fine. This is everybody's fault but mine.0
