Ah don't worry I bit the bullet and did it and saw the quote. £3200 at 15.9%. Interesting.0

looking forward to the transfers clearing and being able to cancel the vanquis and cap1 cards.0 -
It is a good feeling, it's taken me ten years to get back into a positive state like this after being foolish in my youth and 20's.0

you will probably think im extreme but when your nationwide transfer hits your vanquis account log in and take a photograph of the cleared balance on your vanquis
mine cleared and then disspeared for a few days saying it had been passed to security for further checks
vanquis wont be happy your paying it off , mine was at 3k and had a few rows on the phone to get my account closed they dont let you close it until the following month as well until the residual interest catchesup i had another 20 quid to pay
nothing better than closing a vanquis congrats :TI am NOT a mortgage advisor nor a professional in any debt related matters my replies to posts reflect my personal view only and experience in life time situations that may or may not be of any use to you if you need advice speak to a professional0 -
I am hoping that i will be joining you all soon. 5 more days till my CCJ finally comes off Exp and CC :j
I also have Vanquis and a Cap 1 cards which i want to BT to Nationwide.
Only thing left on my file will be a satisfied default which drops off in 10 months. (All payments made on time etc for the last 5-6 years.)
Does anyone know if that will still affect my chances of getting a mainstream credit card?0 -
You'll know when you get the offer from the soft search if you are likely to be accepted or not. If you get offered £500 -£1000 with 19.9% APR, you might want to hold off clicking the 'apply now' button.0

Thanks for the heads up. This may sound like a stupid question, but do they hold information from any other times someone may of applied? What i mean is - when i do the 'soft search' after the ccj has definately come off the credit file, do they do a check of the new/updated report? Or do they keep a copy of the last report they checked, on their database and update it once a month or 3 months. Sorry if that doesn't make sense.0

When you get your soft search quote - do not go any further, do not accept the quote, read what they are offering then click cancel application. Details are not held until you commit to the full application. i.e. when you accept the quoteHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Someone on here got quoted 19.9% with £1200 and got a decline! So I reckon anything from £2k upwards is more likely to be an accept or refer...Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
