Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts I've been Money Tipped!
Just been to my local Asda. I found the 8 packs of squares on the shelf with the price of a four pack in front of it. It also had the offer on it of 3 for £2. I thought great so picked up 9 packs. However, as I thought they were not going to go through at that price. So, I took them to the customer services and the women said I'll go and check so, I went with her to check. She explained that price was for the four packs. I said yes but, that price is in front of the 8 packs. She then basically accused me of swapping the products around on the shelves. I argued my point and got them at this price. Although, when she came to do the refund she said one price I said another. I then said to her can we do this on a calculator. She was very rude and said no thats what it is and asked for my card. NOt a very good visit but, I did manage to get some at least.

Be careful as I just had mine delivered yesterday and the price quadrupled from £30.50 on the order confirmation to £121 on delivery (I ordered only cereal bars to stock up my daughter at university...). Have phoned customer service 4 times trying to sort it out and am waiting for a manager to get back to me. Am fully expecting to have to return the whole lot for a refund...nightmare. Hope yours turns out ok.

WOW I would report that-- By all rights you could have injected them with poision ya know? Its like the chemist because once you walk out the door even if you go home and notice its the wrong meds they HAVE to dispose of it.

I would be really angry if I found out reduced food I was buying was actually returns. INfact Id like to know what store it is because id happily report them

    DISGUSTING asda...

that does make total sense, tbh i was quite shocked when she said it but it didnt occur to me til u put it. i can tell you the store if ud like but from the way she spoke to me i dare say the store manager wud deny it anyway. hubby is gona email head office about the whole thing 2moz so il get him to mention it in his email

I had my shopping delivered on Friday and am still trying to resolve matters! Like you I have called CS 4 times now.

Yesterday I had some person there tell me (several times....*yawn*) that the price I pay is the price in store when my shopping is picked. I then made the point that that means online offers are meaningless as, if these offers are not running in the stores but only online, then the customer would never get them them. I went on to say that having online offers, if this is the case, is misleading at best and downright immoral adding that this might be of interest to Trading Standards.

Funnily enough, after that call, a manager called me back and was extremely pleasant to me. He is now sorting things out with the store my shopping came from and will phone me when it is dealt with. However, I'm not holding my breath and the offending cereal bars are still intact, bagged up and untouched in case I need to demand a refund on them as I am not paying the amount I have been charged!
  • Just been on my supermarket Asda, the packs of 12/8 cereal bars are still on offer 3 for £2.....:)
  • Just tried to log into my account to see what the latest development with my 2 cancelled orders is. Was met with this in big, red letters : "Sorry, you are unable to log-in as your account has been temporarily suspended. Please contact our Customer Service team on 0800 952 6060 to re-activate your account."

Had shopping delivered Friday 7pm and price had jumped from £30.50 on order acknowledgement to £121 on delivery. Phoned Customer service twice Friday, twice Saturday, sent email Saturday night and phoned them again this morning. Eventually customer services agreed to refund my £90.50 and also gave me £10 e-voucher off my next shop. The store had refused to refund me both times customer services had rang them on Friday and Saturday but I advise you don't give up. I saved £109 on a cereal bar only order which will keep us going for a while!!:j

noticed earlier that the mysupermarket deals on these has now gone. Neither the larger packs or smaller ones are on the 3 for £2.

Ok very very odd but they are now back! Ignore my post

  • Went back to my local Asda today. Having gone in on Friday to be told the Elevenses were no longer on offer I go in today and they have put a ticket out to say they are! But only the purple ones! Typically they only had 1 box left! Tried getting the other flavours checked and the brown ones were £2 something a box and the cherry ones were scanning at £1 a box. Then she scanned the cherry ones again and they come up as 3 for £2! What a stupid system if it didnt work first time! We mentioned about the prices on the internet being 3 for £2 on all flavours and she kept saying the internet site often has different offers to in store. I wish the stores were consistent - every store seems to say something different!
